Random thought: The reason communists must always tear down the successful people rather than uplift the less successful is because the successful people generally achieved success based on their own merits. You cannot make a dull person creative, you can't make a lazy person work hard, you can't make a dumb person brilliant. The only way to bridge the gap is to take away the successful people's ability to remain successful. No matter how much communists talk about helping the less fortunate, their actions will always be to tear down the successful people to the level of the lowest common denominator.
