Why the hell is it so hard for people in the ttrpg community to correctly spell the word rogue? Presumably it's a community that is overwhelmingly straight and male, so the fact that 'rouge' isn't a word that comes up much except in makeup doesn't really explain it either.

Rouge is a Sonic character that most ttrpg players secretly want to fuck. It's a very common Freudian slip.

That's kind of the problem I have with the whole thing. As a word, 'rogue' is far more likely to come up than 'rouge.'

The fact that 'rouge' is also a word is basically irrelevant.

'ou' is a much more common string of characters in English than 'ue' so a misspelling that replaces the latter with the former is natural muscle memory for English typists.

rouge is french for red, and is also makeup (blush).

im sure its one of those misspelled words like loose vs lose.
