I've always loved history, but I must say, even in a nation where national pride is a significant aim, most people aren't interested in history

I think it has to be moved in there somehow

but maybe through etymology etc.

One thing I've sort of learned when learning languages is you can tell a lot about the culture backing the language by how it developed over time

which words are formed from where, what was prioritized when standardizing it, etc.

So if reading and writing in whichever language included bits of history in it, I reckon it would help
