for obvious reasons

2019-09-30 18:46:35 UTC

All I know is that pistols and the AR15 memegun are restricted, but everything, full auto is b& along with suppressors and sawing down your barrel, and basically everything else is fair game

2019-09-30 18:46:52 UTC

damn

2019-09-30 18:47:02 UTC

do they restrict the FAL

2019-09-30 18:47:25 UTC

that gun is 🅱 ig 🅱 ased

2019-09-30 18:47:59 UTC

oof

2019-09-30 18:48:00 UTC

Yeah looks like you can't own it

2019-09-30 18:48:03 UTC

apparently not

2019-09-30 18:48:09 UTC

But you can own a garand, by name lol

2019-09-30 18:49:23 UTC

>can't own AR15
>can own Ruger Mini 14, which was used in the mosque shooting in Quebec

2019-09-30 18:49:38 UTC

lmao

2019-09-30 18:50:14 UTC

One of the reasons I like Bernier is that he wants to clean up our gun laws and make things less restrictive and nonsensical

2019-09-30 18:50:45 UTC

Does that actually mean *less* restriction, though?

2019-09-30 18:51:29 UTC

You could "clean up" a lot of laws by banning everything

2019-09-30 18:52:53 UTC

It does mean less restriction according to their site

2019-09-30 18:53:01 UTC

I rolled my eyes so hard they almost fell out on my last criminal investigation class. We were supposed to discuss what you think a solution would be to prevent mass shootings. Dont ask me why.

So this dude in my class was like "Instead of taking away peoples guns we can just add and modify laws"
*facepalm*

2019-09-30 18:53:13 UTC

There's already provinces that ignore the laws lol, like Saskatchewan

2019-09-30 18:53:32 UTC

Wildlife doesn't want for you to open the safe and load your rifle

2019-09-30 18:54:06 UTC

@pussydestroyer armed security

2019-09-30 18:54:26 UTC

Anything good come out of that class discussion?

2019-09-30 18:54:29 UTC

Or armed and trained populus.

2019-09-30 18:54:31 UTC

I've thought of the best pro gun solution to mass shootings, and what I came up with is a modified version of Mandy's law he pushes on here

2019-09-30 18:55:09 UTC

@C1PHER No. Everyone was pro gun control and extremely poorly educated on gun laws. I dont even think any of them have even fired a gun.

2019-09-30 18:55:17 UTC

Not everyone is going to walk around strapped all the time, particularly children, and I don't think it's right to force people to carry

2019-09-30 18:55:36 UTC

So soft targets need proper security

2019-09-30 18:55:41 UTC

call it the Sentinel Militia Act. Basically get a universal free license, that requires training, that gives you freedom to carry open or concealed anywhere. Opt in, but offer benefits to joining

2019-09-30 18:56:20 UTC

have the license requirements managed by the Nat Guard, and only local databases about enrollees

2019-09-30 18:56:32 UTC

Oh honestly I think firearms and first aid should be a required component of schooling

2019-09-30 18:56:38 UTC

^^^^

2019-09-30 18:56:40 UTC

big fax

2019-09-30 18:56:41 UTC

I think the root to the problem goes back again to dysfunctional families and and escalated mental health problems

2019-09-30 18:57:17 UTC

@pussydestroyer that's definitely true, but soft targets do seem to invite this sort of thing

2019-09-30 18:57:32 UTC

Quite possibly. Somehow this wasn't a problem in the era of mail-order machine guns

2019-09-30 18:57:40 UTC

2a is civics, civics is important for citizens to know
Ergo 2a should be core curriculum

2019-09-30 18:57:57 UTC

That's the other thing eh

2019-09-30 18:58:12 UTC

Gun restrictions started proper in what, the 60s?

2019-09-30 18:58:22 UTC

depends on what you mean

2019-09-30 18:58:24 UTC

(well, organised crime probably was but still)

2019-09-30 18:58:58 UTC

Oh Im not disputing that. But I think its important to combat the problem that causes predominantly men, to commit mass shootings. I feel like mass shootings is a symptom of a deeper problem in our culture @A. Spader

2019-09-30 18:59:06 UTC

1860s was the first time you see any real restrictions, with acts to bar black people from owning guns under the guise of 'safety'

2019-09-30 18:59:40 UTC

The NFA was in the 1930's, so I'd at least go back that far
