Sure
Are we talking specifically the enlightenment or cultural revolutions?
So China and Marxism just adopted another form of religous practice.
Which
turned out bad
I'm talking the enlightenment values.
Enlightenment did happen when people returned to true Christianity imo
Europe and America on the other hand took in some more secularist values and didnt do away with the christianity
And hey look
@Louis Carlos Fer yes but that was because they adopted a semi dogmatic faith for s totalitarian dogmatic faith.
no millions of starved and tortured and executed peasants
That's all well and good
I think we agree that religious values can be a force for good though.
Why isn't Africa doing way better?
No christianity
Blatantly untrue
Show me the country which adopted christian values in africa and didn't do well and I'll show you some IQ stats
Aren't there more Christian's in Africa than in the entire western world combined?
Iunno
Okay, so it's not just Christ, but Christ and IQ?
And a willingness to adopt secularist values without doing away with the faith
Okay so it's Christ but not total Christ and also IQ
Because there was some fucked up shit going on in feudal europe
Because if you have too much Christ it goes to shit
I dunno about goes to shit but it definitely doesn't get better at the rate the western world has
Okay, so what about the inverse? Japan hasn't been terribly Christian and they turned shit right the fuck around multiple times
Well, pre Americanization they were Rape of Nanking'ing it up
And once we basically turned them into our sock puppet they are now the Japan we know and wish we didn't know quite so well
While the Germans, Italians and Russians were being perfect yeah?
While the Balkans were totally fine
#thecrusades /s
Good night guys and God bless
See, the thing is that the nazis were secularists and so were the russians
Japan had a long history prior to WW2
And it's also pretty fucked up
like the lot of it
Most histories are quite fucked up
They were also pretty dogmatically zealous in their secular views.
It only really gets better once you get into mixed secular/christian values
