2018-10-05 13:40:01 UTC

That's one of many reasons why I'm turning it down

2018-10-05 13:42:12 UTC

Another hearing on Kavanaugh starts at 10:30

2018-10-05 13:42:35 UTC

2018-10-05 13:45:18 UTC

It’s a vote to limit debate or something.

2018-10-05 13:46:34 UTC

I think they are officially voting to send it to the Senate floor

2018-10-05 13:47:06 UTC

Ok

2018-10-05 14:13:26 UTC

2018-10-05 14:14:07 UTC

?

2018-10-05 14:33:12 UTC

I am taking a course on the Supreme Court and while reading an article about John Rutledge I came across this passage that oh so well describes what is going on today:

(..)"The Senate, because of that politically inept action but also because of its own concern about
Rutledge’s mental stability, voted down his nomination, 10 in favor, 14 against. The vote enhanced
the authority of the young Senate in the judicial selection process, indicating that it had an
institutional will of its own, motivated in part by the politics of the day. "

2018-10-05 14:34:01 UTC

Lolololol

2018-10-05 14:34:44 UTC

I just watched the Juanita broaddrick interview with Steven crowder. Wow. I’m starting to wonder if there really is credibility to the alleged Clinton murders.

2018-10-05 14:35:09 UTC

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2018-10-05 14:57:42 UTC

Reuters update say senate advances Kavanaugh nominations

2018-10-05 14:58:45 UTC

Anyone see the last minute plea from Alyssa Milano

2018-10-05 15:18:34 UTC

1. Her sexual assault story is (as is anyone else's that doesn't Kavanaugh) completely irrelevant.
2. It is very rich to come out and say we should probably have investigated Bill Clinton. Funny how that works! Have principles and stick by them!

2018-10-05 16:02:47 UTC

Seriously? That’s hilarious.

2018-10-05 16:09:14 UTC

Sargon did a good video

2018-10-05 17:28:11 UTC

Sargon kills me

2018-10-05 17:28:21 UTC

"I'm gonna take a break"

>Proceeds to pump out two of his best vids in months

2018-10-05 17:29:10 UTC

Juanita Broderick has a much stronger story to back her accusation than Ford does by miles

2018-10-05 17:29:31 UTC

Its still not clear cut but its way stronger than...this

2018-10-05 17:30:32 UTC

I would love to see Matt go through this video: https://www.facebook.com/112833696083071/posts/256721901694249/
I find it aggravating, but I can't say why. It _seems_ like there is a lot of half baked ideas, but it is put together so well it is hard to say "this is the part I disagree with"...

2018-10-05 18:06:21 UTC

It's multiple layers of misrepresentstion

2018-10-05 18:06:55 UTC

When people criticize #metoo it's because people have already been verifiably witchhunted over nothing

2018-10-05 18:07:24 UTC

He turns sexual assault into an umbrella term that includes catcalling and "lewd comments"

2018-10-05 18:08:27 UTC

Puts up "women are doing great" as something to be ridiculed without explaining why

2018-10-05 18:11:15 UTC

Thank you. I have a friend using this and the idea that because statistically false reporting is such a low percentage that we should believe all women... And it is insidious!

2018-10-05 18:29:19 UTC

@NewUltraBroad Trevor lacks any awareness of what has come from the me too movement. The mantra of listen and believe ultimately creates more false allegations. Plus, the movement practically states that all men are somehow guilty. Trevor doesn’t understand that removing due process makes the situation worse. He also conflates catcalling, inappropriate touches, and forcible penetration as if they are equally harmful. Half of his point could be used against the metoo movement. There isn’t a rape epidemic in the US. These women are overreacting to something that doesn’t happen to 99% of the female population. It’s ridiculous.

2018-10-05 18:29:40 UTC

There's a lot more wrong with it, but that's just a few things off the top of my head

2018-10-05 18:38:45 UTC

@ArsSanctum I agree. Juanita is far more believable, but she still doesn’t have concrete evidence. It would be really hard to prove rape at this point. If the same thing happened today, the woman could go to the police and get a rape kit and have evidence.

2018-10-05 18:40:07 UTC

mhm

2018-10-05 19:42:36 UTC

Seems like Susan Collins will vote Yes and the left is going off the rails, right on schedule

2018-10-05 19:43:25 UTC

The vote is happening tomorrow right?

2018-10-05 19:45:13 UTC

Correct

2018-10-05 19:49:59 UTC

What time?
