Well, it was more like I got scared out of it. My mother is naturally very risk adverse. It rubbed off on me in my youth. That mixed with my nature tendency to be very cheap, so I didn’t tinker much. My stepdad mostly encouraged yard work. Lol

Plus, none of my friends tinkered and I have 5 younger siblings, which my parents needed a bunch of help moving around.
