What is even funnier to me, is how google has videos, that even talk about things like the holocaust (or some other top topics) even in passing. They link like the Wiki on it (or something), so people understand what it is and not just follow the view of the video.

I don't watch RT so it absolutely blew my mind. Good to know that Google is looking out for propaganda because, ya know, it's not like they engage in it.

I am watching the Cenk/Carlson debate right now. I pains me to say that on immigration Cenk won the debate. Unfortunately Carlson was not prepared and did not address any of the bullshit Cenk was dumping on the audience. Cenk's points were weak but did not get refuted by a isolationist because of reasons guy!

I think the opposite because I took it as Cenk trying to frame Carlson as anti immigration, which he isn't and Carlson refused to take that stance.

Sure that was Cenk's plan but most of his reasoning could easily have been refuted like his "back in the days the Irish and Italians came in and we let them". Carlson did mention that those were the times of industrialisation where manual labour was needed but failed to address the difference of a then growing country that looked for workers and a now growing welfare state that a lot of people want to take advantage of.

You could make an effective argument now that what’s happening isn’t immigration it’s colonialism.

I think in the grand scheme of things, Tucker won and it all starts with how they were perceived when they went into the debate. Cenk is viewed by both his fans and his enemies as being a hard Left figure who challenges the Right on any and all topics and gets in their face. Tucker has a different perception from the Left and Right. The Left view him as a smarmy, hard-Right Always-Trump Nazi-Bigot-Homo-Transphobe who hates immigrants when they are brown. The Right views him as a well-reasoned guy who can come off smug at times but ultimately doesn't make his positions unreasonable. Now when you compare these two perceptions live and you hear their agreeing, what is likely to change? The Right's view doesn't particularly change much. The Left's view changes at least in part due to Tucker's agreeing on basic positions. Run this scenario through your mind. If Tucker is this big racist and bigot from the enemy team, why is he agreeing with the guy whose beliefs he should be hating? Tucker walks away with a greater change in perception than Cenk does.

@SteelandSouls I get what you are saying but I think there is a high enough amount of Cenk followers that would not perceive Tucker in a better light now but would think that because Cenk is obviously correct and Tucker is obviously a hateful bigot and wrong on all accounts there is no way Tucker could hold his own against somebody like Cenk. Thus Tucker had to agree with Cenk when confronted because of Cenk's better moral values and understanding of immigrants.
