may i ask real fast
is the call up show today our tommorow?
thank you comrade
at what time does the <#231936127378915328> start may i ask?
7:50 I think
so in 4 hours?
Let me rephrase because we might be in different time zones. 10 minutes for the start of the show is when roll call opens up
thank you
It kind of sucks for me because most of the time I'm commuting home or eating dinner around the roll call time.
I've got violin during the call-in show
Maybe I should send in an email question?
Could do
Oh right @Salacious Swanky Cat @SteelandSouls should we see what Blonde's thoughts are on Op Manhood Ritual?
Do we really have anything to bring to her outside of the idea?
We've got the core values, a vague process and an ultimate goal
@Beemann we can see what she thinks.
It doesn’t have to be perfect to present it to her.
I was mostly keen on her thoughts on the potential construction of it anyway
I dunno if this is something people wanna bring up on the call-in show or make an email out of or what, but if it's the latter I can send a rough draft in
I don't have an issue with the premise being brought up. Personally, I'd wait until something like a rough draft could be drawn up to present but if you guys feel it wouldn't hurt to address it now, I won't object. I'd use an e-mail over the Call-In Show. Although the Call-In Show would be good in getting the message out, it doesn't allow enough time for some consideration to the matter.
And tbh I don't think it would take long to draw up a rough draft as it stands
Alright. So you'll handle the draft?
Yeah I'll start writing it up while I wait for violin. I'll group DM y'all with what I've got after that and you can let me know what I've missed
Sounds like a plan
Tbh the bigger task than the plan is finding a way to put it into action
I'm not sure if it will be or not. Sure, you have the legal tape to hop over that any good lawyer can help you maneuver. I think in terms of getting men behind it, it's all in the messaging. Hell, I just thought up a commercial for it now while I was typing it. Once you get the public on your side, things tend to fall in line. At least in my humble understanding of it
I mean that this process takes work on everyone's part, and there's no real carrot in modern society to match up with that stick, particularly if you're starting off with people in isolation rather than a localized community. We'll see though
You're not wrong. I think as long as we have a unified front on the matter, it will be easier than if we sporadically did a bunch of incoherent startups
Fair
I had a conversation with a customer last night about politics in Australia
Did he call you gay, kick you in the shin, and run away?
And it was very cordial, there’s plenty of disagreement but that’s okay
Nah it was a friendly elderly gentleman
But one line he said in that discussion bothered me
He said "We must ensure the future for our race"
“I’ve lived here my entire life and every time it’s the same; Liberals (the so-called right wing here) take from the welfare programs and stack the rich and Labor (the left wing) just puts it back”
Now I have two issues with that statement
First is just because I’ve only been in and out of Australia for the past eleven years doesn’t mean I don’t understand the dynamic of politics here, which is basically left wing lite and psychotic commie wannabes
The second is when I pointed out to him that the premise of cutting welfare programs was to stop the whole country from going bankrupt, he got visibly upset and asked me when I got here
Upon which his point was that the moment I got to Australia was when Labor was going through some shit, but it was all because of the Liberals
