It's kind of hard to get hyped for drama here when its not large scale like the alt righters battle that one day

2018-12-03 20:10:43 UTC

I'm more interested in talking about Russia than talking about feelings

2018-12-03 20:11:05 UTC

We rarely have drama, so it’s exciting/annoying.

2018-12-03 20:11:30 UTC

I hate to make an accusation, but I really think both of them were trying to get screenshots

2018-12-03 20:11:56 UTC

Hey its good to throw that out

2018-12-03 20:12:01 UTC

I wouldnt have thought of it

2018-12-03 20:12:38 UTC

Nova did kind of go in like clockwork, trying too hard, etc.

2018-12-03 20:13:13 UTC

Way too hard

2018-12-03 20:13:19 UTC

Clockwork nova

2018-12-03 20:14:01 UTC

Thotwork

2018-12-03 20:14:28 UTC

^audit

2018-12-03 20:16:24 UTC

Did somebody say THOTs?

2018-12-03 20:19:16 UTC

I talked about them for 15 minutes yesterday

2018-12-03 20:20:26 UTC

>tfw you'll never look as good as a thot

2018-12-03 20:20:32 UTC

😭

2018-12-03 20:20:37 UTC

Haha I noticed, J

2018-12-03 20:21:25 UTC

Sad times, @Deleted User . at least you have personality? πŸ˜…

2018-12-03 20:22:04 UTC

That's true. I'd rather that, I suppose.

2018-12-03 20:24:38 UTC

What 'alt righters battle' lol

2018-12-03 20:25:18 UTC

I was mad at Blonde for a couple things and got the whole discord riled up

2018-12-03 20:26:34 UTC

I just got mad at her casual 'russia is shit' comment

2018-12-03 20:28:34 UTC

@Brendan a couple months ago, I had a discussion in the pictures tab explaining to a young lady that the European Migrant crisis was a result of US intervention in the Middle East over Cold War Policies, and not a grand conspiracy orchestrated by the World Jewish Congress

2018-12-03 20:29:03 UTC

and she didn't like it, so she got her anti-zionist friends to come in and shout us all down and convert us all to Naziism

2018-12-03 20:29:40 UTC

^That was the alt right battle we fought here. Twas a glorious day!!!
How much do you know of Russian affairs today, @Brendan? I ask because it can really create great conversations

2018-12-03 20:30:30 UTC

I don't focus much on the politics because it's no where near as dramatic

2018-12-03 20:31:05 UTC

I was afraid of that. Kind of hard to be interesting when its one sided

2018-12-03 20:31:15 UTC

I follow a channel called 'Real Russia' and he posts daily videos of actual life in Russia

2018-12-03 20:32:00 UTC

and I'm just obsessed with the classical music. Like Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev etc

2018-12-03 20:32:08 UTC

Very goofy avatar, but I subbed

2018-12-03 20:32:10 UTC

It seems like they respect history more than a lot of the west

2018-12-03 20:32:54 UTC

Yeah I listen to classical music on the radio, pretty much nothing else, except for the metal channel sometimes

2018-12-03 20:33:29 UTC

Baltimore has their own symphony hall so its always pumping out tunes

2018-12-03 20:33:42 UTC

I listen to those composers, Beethoven, Chopin and the jam band Phish

2018-12-03 20:36:01 UTC

I posted my edit of Stravinsky's Petruska by the bolshoi ballet and it has 120k views

2018-12-03 20:37:13 UTC

I wish I could keep track of all the ones they play. They conduct pieces from everywhere in the world and never stick with any one composer, too many to process in my brain

2018-12-03 20:38:26 UTC

Yeah it's intimidating. I'm 3 years in to my deep dive into classical, and still haven't even strayed from the 10 most widely known composers

2018-12-03 20:44:01 UTC

There any definitive books on russia history you could recommend?

2018-12-03 20:45:49 UTC

I've listened to a bit of the Russian Rules History Podcast

2018-12-03 20:45:52 UTC

good so far

2018-12-03 20:46:12 UTC

not a book guy tbf

2018-12-03 20:48:55 UTC

No worries, podcasts are great too
