@Brendan a couple months ago, I had a discussion in the pictures tab explaining to a young lady that the European Migrant crisis was a result of US intervention in the Middle East over Cold War Policies, and not a grand conspiracy orchestrated by the World Jewish Congress

and she didn't like it, so she got her anti-zionist friends to come in and shout us all down and convert us all to Naziism

How much do you know of Russian affairs today, @Brendan? I ask because it can really create great conversations

I don't focus much on the politics because it's no where near as dramatic

I was afraid of that. Kind of hard to be interesting when its one sided

I follow a channel called 'Real Russia' and he posts daily videos of actual life in Russia

and I'm just obsessed with the classical music. Like Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev etc

It seems like they respect history more than a lot of the west

Yeah I listen to classical music on the radio, pretty much nothing else, except for the metal channel sometimes

Baltimore has their own symphony hall so its always pumping out tunes

I listen to those composers, Beethoven, Chopin and the jam band Phish

I posted my edit of Stravinsky's Petruska by the bolshoi ballet and it has 120k views

I wish I could keep track of all the ones they play. They conduct pieces from everywhere in the world and never stick with any one composer, too many to process in my brain

Yeah it's intimidating. I'm 3 years in to my deep dive into classical, and still haven't even strayed from the 10 most widely known composers

There any definitive books on russia history you could recommend?
