I feel emotionally compromised when it comes to pregnant women and their babies in the womb, I have a huge bias towards making sure they're okay, as all guys should
> how do you teach people not to kill without bringing morality into it
Through the introduction of consequences
Because you will probably get killed in return if you do
We had a discussion about how laws are generally around to protect the good from the evil, not to encourage the good within people
I feel this is one of those hypotheticals wherein something evil such as murder is largely prevented due to the consequences associated with carrying it out of not through basic morality
Generally yes.
I mean, have you ever seen — especially among edgy teenagers — the phrase, “if only murder was illegal, I’d kill such-and-such”
No. But edgy teenagers kill because of such and such
No diciprin. Chirld is vwery vwery baad
I mean let’s use our current POTUS as an example
With the amount of derangement surrounding him and the constant death threats, I’m beginning to really think that the only reason no one has actually killed him yet is because of the consequences
Maybe.
The derangement is prevalent with the ones who are just pussies, I think
He's not threatening the existence of anyone. And no matter how the left likes to twist how he is literally hitler and how people are literally dying, there is enough cognitive dissonance within themselves that it isn't processed the same as real threats. That's my view anyway
Hmmm... fair
> I also think things aren't necessarily taught. Men just don't do these things, naturally
There’s a social mechanism for dealing with emotions among women that doesn’t seem to exist among men. Women get together just to gossip. It’s cathartic to vent and complain to a listening audience. I don’t think men have an equivalent to that. Also, maybe the fact that women are more developed in language processing compared to men plays a part. Women are better equipped to express their emotions.
There is something like that
Drinking parties
“Parties”
Yeah, I mean I at least didn't get pulled aside when I was a kid and told "Listen, son. Don't be a pussy."
The way it goes as far as I can tell is:
1 - everyone gets drunk
2 - everyone gets pissed
3 - some cunt starts singing
4 - everyone starts singing
5 - problem forgotten
>dad doesn't show much emotion when handling problems (unless its anger sometimes)
>I don't show emotion when dealing with problem(unless its anger)
There really is something to how kids observe their same sex parent
They are starved for wanting to know how to be
If they do not get it from the parent they will allow others to influence them
A bit of an aside but that’s one thing I’ve always been worried about with raising my daughter
Since I’m a single dad it’s uh... yeah
@Deleted User that’s tough.
I'm really glad I didn't have a son because I was afraid I couldn't raise him correctly
@yuma_8 Have you been in one of the chats these guys have? All they do is gossip! *shots fired*
Also yes, men and women deal with things differently.
@Shadows I guess they’re more feminine than I give them credit for (fires right back)
Aha, the chats I missed! I'm safe 😁
@Shadows ..... um not really
Very dirty conversations mostly
Lots of sex things and politics
@yuma_8 I promise we will be very respectful of you come on. We will the the very respectful. The most respectful.
@Deleted User Girls see fathers as authority figures and mothers as confidants and peers, speaking generally of course. Ideally it would be good for her to have an older woman as a mother figure, but she can also find emotional rapport with friends. I think you’ll be okay.
Nobody is more respectful than us. Ask anyone. Believe me. People tell me all the time and they say "Steel, you are so respectful."
