Hey man, I was married to a Mexican, I had Mexican in laws. I fucking earned the right to be racist against them.

2018-12-09 19:07:17 UTC

:)

2018-12-09 19:14:12 UTC

Any state that elected Paul Ryan can't be, by definition, the greatest in the Union

2018-12-09 19:15:40 UTC

Snap

2018-12-09 19:53:10 UTC

Jeez, that's harsh.

2018-12-09 19:57:26 UTC

Geez. That burns hotter than the back of a oven.

2018-12-09 20:07:03 UTC

My state didn't elect Paul Ryan, only one of it's 7 districts did. House Races are districted, he's not a Senator

2018-12-09 20:07:55 UTC

And....for the record.....I like Paul Ryan, at least as representative....I cede that he wasn't the best choice for speaker, which is the ONLY reason any of you even know his name

2018-12-09 20:10:01 UTC

It always seemed weird to me how he went from being a hero for doing. . .something? Writing a budget maybe? And from there he was suddenly the House Speaker and the consumate villain.

2018-12-09 20:13:21 UTC

He seems like a nice guy.

Wail is speaking from the joy behar philosophy of gerrymandering.

2018-12-09 20:16:03 UTC

Paul Ryan inherited a position that he didn't want in the first place because Boehner resigned out of almost nowhere, and as the last Presidential Vice President Candidate, Congressional Republicans rallied together and appointed and voted him in

2018-12-09 20:18:09 UTC

With Boehner having just resigned, Ryan knew that his dismissal of the position would lead to division in the party with Barack holding the reigns, so he accepted, and as soon as he had an opportunity, he retired completely

2018-12-09 20:19:08 UTC

His retirement had nothing to do with his Kids. Paul Ryan found an escape from the job he never wanted while there was a Republican in the executive branch

2018-12-09 20:22:39 UTC

The only thing i really know about Ryan was how much he was talking about Atlas Shrugged..........

2018-12-09 20:27:35 UTC

Paul Ryan was my representative for my entire adult life save two years when I lived in District 2. He was a Republican who was able to stay popular in a District that should never have been friendly (Racine, Kenosha, the Hispanic side of Milwaukee, Janesville) to him. His platform was almost exclusively entitlement reform, which drew him opposition from both sides of the political aisle

2018-12-09 20:49:06 UTC

@Beemann Is Tencent bad just because its a china company and china censors a lot. Or because of anything else it does?

2018-12-09 20:51:10 UTC

I love how the H in Boehner’s name changed the pronunciation completely

2018-12-09 20:51:21 UTC

Without it he would just be Böner

2018-12-09 20:51:37 UTC

Which makes sense since as the lead RINO he boned the republicans after the 2010 and 2014 landslides

2018-12-09 20:51:38 UTC

Cunt

2018-12-09 20:56:45 UTC

I know a boner family.. i prounounced it w the h and the girl is like "no - its boner" lmao

2018-12-09 20:59:50 UTC

Lmao

2018-12-09 21:02:54 UTC

the H doesn't change the pronunciation. the O before the E does

2018-12-09 21:03:34 UTC

2018-12-09 21:04:55 UTC

Nah the H makes it go from oooh to argh

2018-12-09 21:04:59 UTC

Aeehh*

2018-12-09 21:05:16 UTC

Cause normally you’d have it as an extension of the previous sound I thought

2018-12-09 21:05:44 UTC

Like Müller is pronounced mew-ler not moo-ler because German/French

2018-12-09 21:05:58 UTC

Wait

2018-12-09 21:06:01 UTC

Other way around

2018-12-09 21:06:19 UTC

It’s supposed to be moo-ler not mew-ler

most people here say Muller...but I knew a girl growing up who pronounced it Mew-ler

2018-12-09 21:07:13 UTC

Huh

2018-12-09 21:07:22 UTC

Guess it’s different in good ol US of A

2018-12-09 21:09:20 UTC

it's a german thing. My paternal Grandmother's Maiden name is the same way, it has an o before the e, but there is no H

2018-12-09 21:12:34 UTC

O:

2018-12-09 21:12:47 UTC

Oh okay

2018-12-09 21:13:28 UTC

I got used to the assumption that “oe” usually meant that it was spelt ö at one point and therefore made that sound

2018-12-09 21:13:38 UTC

So ue would have been ü etc

2018-12-09 21:17:43 UTC

@Shadows Tencent isnt just a Chinese company in terms of the nationality of its ownership. IIRC, the government owns controlling shares in Tencent. Major Chinese companies are basically nationalized or publicly traded with government control being mandated
