*Ashkenazi Jews tend to be way more strict, Mizrahi Jews has a way more liberal interpretation of the religion so they take what they see fit.

@SpanishAbbey good, because the trans I know in person are SJWs, combative SJWs.

2019-02-12 13:31:22 UTC

eh. I think there will eventually be a cure for these conditions. That's why I'm not so worried about it.

2019-02-12 13:32:56 UTC

plus, single women shouldn't have children.

2019-02-12 13:34:30 UTC

What do you mean by "cure"?

2019-02-12 13:36:33 UTC

As in people can get some treatment that either prevents or makes the person not gay/trans/whatever.

2019-02-12 13:38:07 UTC

There's no cure for it

2019-02-12 13:38:18 UTC

Right now.

2019-02-12 13:38:25 UTC

In the future possibly

2019-02-12 13:38:27 UTC

It's hardwired into the brain

2019-02-12 13:38:36 UTC

There's nothing to cure

2019-02-12 13:39:21 UTC

Eh. We’ll see.

2019-02-12 13:39:57 UTC

Realistically, nobody actually wants to be gay.

2019-02-12 13:40:21 UTC

True

2019-02-12 13:40:55 UTC

If the condition could be prevented, nobody would have a problem

2019-02-12 13:41:10 UTC

But it's pre determined and every attempt to "fix" it ended with bad results.

2019-02-12 13:42:37 UTC

So? I can say the exact same thing with every other mental condition.

2019-02-12 13:42:48 UTC

That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.

2019-02-12 13:43:13 UTC

But it's not "mental"

2019-02-12 13:43:30 UTC

I know what a mental condition is way too well.

2019-02-12 13:43:36 UTC

Way way too well.

2019-02-12 13:45:02 UTC

And it can be treated, Sexual orientation isn't.

2019-02-12 13:46:14 UTC

It is though. Why else would someone be gay?

2019-02-12 13:46:35 UTC

There aren’t any cures for any mental conditions.

2019-02-12 13:46:41 UTC

Currently

2019-02-12 14:02:13 UTC

There are ways to mitigate it

2019-02-12 14:02:22 UTC

For gays? Nope

2019-02-12 15:35:38 UTC

Could I weigh in with some questions?

2019-02-12 16:21:22 UTC

I don't trust people to accurately describe the difference between something physiologic and pathologic

2019-02-12 16:21:37 UTC
2019-02-12 16:21:51 UTC

my bad. Got distracted at work. lol

2019-02-12 16:21:54 UTC

Lol

2019-02-12 16:21:56 UTC

Same

2019-02-12 16:22:41 UTC

A few decades ago, wasn't homosexuality viewed as a mental disorder?

2019-02-12 16:22:55 UTC

yes

2019-02-12 16:22:56 UTC

If so, why? and why has that changed now?

2019-02-12 16:23:01 UTC

Well

2019-02-12 16:23:19 UTC

What is the difference between a mental disorder and a human trait

2019-02-12 16:24:15 UTC

It seems like, at least with the trans and gender bending movement, political persuasion plays a significant role in our scientific and medical research and may have or is perverting our findings and how we proceed as a species.

2019-02-12 16:24:31 UTC

With the body, you could argue women's cellulite is a disorder, but since about 80% of women get it, it could be described as a secondary sex characteristic

2019-02-12 16:24:56 UTC

@SpanishAbbey good point. idk.
