I just don't do it with you.
He likes me <3
That is common in any arena i suppose. There is merit to it, but we do need ppl willing to compomise.
Compromising is a very useful thing, but also a damaging thing if you are standing up for a principle.
i would argue that it is only damaging if you are compromising in the wrong direction
like with 2A rights
I won't compromise when it comes to our constitution, no matter how many people "feel" its a good thing.
And i'm talking about the 1A right now.
its just an example. like wanting to repeal the NFA, but compromising on legalizing suppressors. its the direction of compromising that is key
a more 1A example in the wrong direction would be rejecting hate speech legislation, but allowing for blasphemy legislation
And as censoring freedom of expression goes against our constitution (and human rights), its asking for blasphemy legislation.
i think you missed my point. both are bad, and one is a subset of the other, so compromising in that direction is harmful
No, i got that.
Go do your project so you can watch what i linked you later heh.
building a compiler, assembler, and linker
For school or work.
school
Cool.
i go to UC Berkeley
I'm sorry to hear that.
yup
lol @wolfman1911 its CS program is still world class, even if i have to watch out for the occasional bike lock
I would be less worried about a bike lock over the "everything about you is evil" courses (at many colleges).
lol i transfered from a community college, so i completed all the general education courses there. You have to take two social sciences courses (where the SJW stuff is rampant). I took macro and micro economics instead. So i've managed to avoid all that crap.
all my course work here at UC Berkeley is major specific. with the exception of one course I had to take, which was a mandatory social justice course. it was bs, professor said that the problem with norway is that they are having to deal with the fact that they are white.
would refer to us as comrade 30+ times a lecture
gave out extra credit for attending a union strike
it was a shit show.
Did they add macro and micro-aggression yet in the econ class? heh
naw, the econ professor was at the community college, and she was a republican
so it was pretty enjoyable. especially when she dropped the bomb about price floors and min wage.
That's good.
yup, ive been around block before and am in no danger of being indoctrinated into the cult of diversity, equity, and inclusion
i came from the trades originally, and am doing this for more money
That's a good way to do things.
The SJW stuff isn't going to be limited to the social science courses for much longer (its already in a lot of STEM).
oh i know, i see it trickling in. the way they do it is in the stem courses that are designed for teaching stem
the 300 level courses are all focused on teaching, and this is where they wedge in the social justice. if you want to TA for a course, then you have to take one of these courses
which results in the spread of it in stem
Which is why i'm less worried about any antifa (tho still worried about them), over whats creating them in the first place.
indeed. its not the stem fields that are creating them, the barrier to entry is still too high for many. It's the other majors that are guilty of it. the administration as well. the chancellor just sent out an email detailing how all new faculty applicants must swear an oath of fealty to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
