Good movie.

2019-04-11 02:36:50 UTC

Not this person....

2019-04-11 02:39:44 UTC

Yep, keep doing the terrible practice because So many people do it....

2019-04-11 02:41:55 UTC

My father worked in hospice care, so many emergency circumcisions, and it's not fun to heal from. I'm not going to circumcise my kids, but having been circumcised I am pleased I don't have a phimosis to look forward to.

2019-04-11 02:43:50 UTC

phimosis and recurring balanitis are pretty much the only reason I'd even have circumcision legal, but circumcising children is fucked up outside of the actual medical reasons

2019-04-11 02:45:35 UTC

elective surgery and procedures should be illegal for minors and they definitely shouldn't be done by non doctors

2019-04-11 02:45:43 UTC

no abortion clinics, no mohels

2019-04-11 02:46:00 UTC

It was started as a control for male sexuality. It should only be done to a person that has a medical problem.

2019-04-11 02:46:30 UTC

Kellogg advocated it to stop boys masturbating

2019-04-11 02:46:48 UTC

crazy that shit caught on in the US outside the Jewish/Muslim communities

2019-04-11 02:47:18 UTC

I mean, lobotomies caught on for a while

2019-04-11 02:47:27 UTC

But its helpful!

2019-04-11 02:47:30 UTC

.......

2019-04-11 02:48:29 UTC

Prior to the invention of soap, phimoses and foreskin related infections were much more common which is why it was advantageous to be circumcised. After the advent of more sanitary living circumcisions are less helpful and yes, Kellogg did a lot of weird things but he did not invent the concept.

Jam that pick up under the eyelid and wiggle m8. Bring out your mentally ill to the ~~ice cream truck~~ trained professional

2019-04-11 02:49:51 UTC

I've got a car battery and can shock the gay right out of you

2019-04-11 02:50:10 UTC

At least electroshock therapy genuinely has its limited uses

2019-04-11 02:50:38 UTC

The way they were doing lobotomies was insanely irresponsible and eerily fucked up

2019-04-11 02:50:55 UTC

one day gender realignment surgery will probably thought of in the same way

2019-04-11 02:51:12 UTC

it's such a backwards answer, fixing a mental problem with body modification

2019-04-11 02:51:29 UTC

At best a specialised incision is helpful for certain specific circumstances (like with epilepsy)

2019-04-11 02:51:43 UTC

Not turning a chunk of your brain into oatmeal

2019-04-11 02:52:01 UTC

and why isn't that a solution for body dysmorphia?

2019-04-11 02:52:07 UTC

And I suspect that's correct re: SRS, though it may be a preventative and not a curative measure

2019-04-11 02:52:48 UTC

Current data would indicate that male and female brains are different, and that dysphoric individuals basically have a brain mismatch

2019-04-11 02:53:15 UTC

there has been some trials in medication for it

2019-04-11 02:53:20 UTC

I don't see a way to necessarily cure that but if you could isolate a cause you could eliminate the issue at the source

2019-04-11 02:53:26 UTC

that's probably the best answer they'll get

2019-04-11 02:53:38 UTC

For existing cases sure

2019-04-11 02:53:42 UTC

sometimes treatment is as good as it gets

2019-04-11 02:54:23 UTC

For future potential cases, maybe we find the exact circumstances that cause it and concoct a prevention method

2019-04-11 02:54:46 UTC

As people reeeeee about eliminating a potentially crippling condition

2019-04-11 02:55:46 UTC

you watch the second medication becomes a viable alternate the LGBT types will protest with the power of a thousand suns

2019-04-11 02:55:47 UTC

Because they've politicized and commodified it as an identity

2019-04-11 03:00:44 UTC

If there was a cure for alternative sexualities/dysmorphias and it allowed the person to live like the 95% with few risks, most in future generations would take it eagerly rather than "come out" in this hypothetical because life is just easier if one lives like the 95%.
