I have all these games on Steam.

2019-07-31 23:08:42 UTC

But never care enough to play.

2019-07-31 23:09:20 UTC

You can wander in that place for a long ass time not knowing where to go, but then when you find the proper path it feels like there are very few rooms that you actually have to go through.

2019-07-31 23:09:47 UTC

That seems like sort of a recurring theme lol

2019-07-31 23:10:01 UTC

I've played (not in this order) LttP (some), OoT, MM, WW, TP, Seasons, Ages, MC, 4Swords, ST, PH

2019-07-31 23:10:06 UTC

Sense of adventure!

2019-07-31 23:10:22 UTC

To be honest, I did have that experience with all the adult dungeons on OoT too. I think I had to use a guide for all of them.

2019-07-31 23:10:38 UTC

Oh yeah I've never played through 4Swords Adventures because I haven't had people to play with

2019-07-31 23:11:11 UTC

Same.

2019-07-31 23:11:13 UTC

😢

2019-07-31 23:11:34 UTC

One day I'll play through it with my kids lol

2019-07-31 23:11:54 UTC

you have kids?

2019-07-31 23:11:59 UTC

No

2019-07-31 23:12:02 UTC

One day

2019-07-31 23:12:05 UTC

Haha

2019-07-31 23:12:07 UTC

I want kids.

2019-07-31 23:12:10 UTC

oh so theoretical children

2019-07-31 23:12:15 UTC

Fwiw, BotW is crippled by lack of dungeons. There's some good mechanics but not much to do other than fuck around and collect shit

2019-07-31 23:12:46 UTC

So, it's *too* open world?

2019-07-31 23:12:54 UTC

The options you're given also do a lot to potentially negate sections of the final dungeon

2019-07-31 23:13:26 UTC

How so?

2019-07-31 23:13:31 UTC

Sort of. It's like they split the dungeons into a hundred or so puzzles, but not all that many of them are interesting, and then the divine beasts are just very short spatial puzzles

2019-07-31 23:13:45 UTC

I thought the Divine Beasts were an elegant solution to that. I always felt like a quality Zelda dungeon should feel like solving a giant Rubik's cube from the inside out, and BotW took that to a whole new level.
I know what you mean though

2019-07-31 23:13:47 UTC

You can boost past most of the content by accident

2019-07-31 23:14:01 UTC

Re: final dungeon

2019-07-31 23:14:14 UTC

The castle is so much fun

2019-07-31 23:14:41 UTC

I only found out how cool it was later, because in exploring the outside I ended up skipping almost all of the inside

2019-07-31 23:14:54 UTC

Yeah it's gnarly

2019-07-31 23:15:00 UTC

So one day I'll do a DLC included botw run and spend most of my time in there

2019-07-31 23:15:01 UTC

Wait, what.

2019-07-31 23:15:18 UTC

So you can accidentally skip passed content?

2019-07-31 23:15:57 UTC

Yeah. I mean you're guaranteed to miss a certain percent unless you use a guide or are incredibly meticulous, but the final dungeon is like accidental speed run tech tier

2019-07-31 23:16:13 UTC

Dang.

2019-07-31 23:16:25 UTC

I've long since learned to not expect any single Zelda game to fully embody "what a Zelda game should be"

2019-07-31 23:16:29 UTC

Granted you can go back down and scour more

2019-07-31 23:16:36 UTC

Also, was it just me, or did anyone else find limited weapon durability fucking annoying?

2019-07-31 23:16:46 UTC

guess that depends on you define "what a zelda game should be"

2019-07-31 23:16:47 UTC

I like the idea but not for legendaries

2019-07-31 23:16:53 UTC

like what Zelda is that for you?

2019-07-31 23:16:58 UTC

Fair Beeman.

2019-07-31 23:17:01 UTC

The other hero weapons should work like the master sword
