Anyone else get the feeling that BotW could be a radical reimagining of the original?
I mean they even included rafts lol
I played 2, but not the original.
Whoa
But its been foreveeeer.
haven't played BotW but i know everyone gets on their knees for it
Hah
I played a bit of BotW.
And then had to give back a buds Switch back.
Lol
I was skeptical but it kept the spirit the series pretty well
I have it on Wii U. Don't own a Switch
yeah i got a PS4 instead of a switch
I just don't game anymore unless I'm playing Smash at a friend's house
Last time I played A Link to the Past I realized that the last dungeon, the pyramid, is blatant bullshit.
Yeah, so I've played Adventure of Link, LttP, Links Awakening (?), OoT, MM, WW, some of Twilight, and some of BotW.
I miss couch gaming.
I have all these games on Steam.
But never care enough to play.
You can wander in that place for a long ass time not knowing where to go, but then when you find the proper path it feels like there are very few rooms that you actually have to go through.
I've played (not in this order) LttP (some), OoT, MM, WW, TP, Seasons, Ages, MC, 4Swords, ST, PH
Sense of adventure!
To be honest, I did have that experience with all the adult dungeons on OoT too. I think I had to use a guide for all of them.
Oh yeah I've never played through 4Swords Adventures because I haven't had people to play with
Same.
😢
One day I'll play through it with my kids lol
you have kids?
No
One day
Haha
I want kids.
oh so theoretical children
Fwiw, BotW is crippled by lack of dungeons. There's some good mechanics but not much to do other than fuck around and collect shit
So, it's *too* open world?
The options you're given also do a lot to potentially negate sections of the final dungeon
How so?
Sort of. It's like they split the dungeons into a hundred or so puzzles, but not all that many of them are interesting, and then the divine beasts are just very short spatial puzzles
I thought the Divine Beasts were an elegant solution to that. I always felt like a quality Zelda dungeon should feel like solving a giant Rubik's cube from the inside out, and BotW took that to a whole new level.
I know what you mean though
You can boost past most of the content by accident
