A quick search tells me they're primarily shotguns loaded with rubber buckshot, which I previously did not know, to demonstrate how much knowledge I actually have here.

You're also wielding a lethal instrument to use "less than lethal" ammo, so that could also create some strange legal scenarios.

Are LTL rounds available for anything that isn't a shotgun? Shotguns seem fairly safe from gun control due to your average Fudd needing them for hunting

If you're indecisive, you could probably buy an AR lower receiver, since that's the 1 part that's actually considered the "firearm" and then hold onto that until you decide to build the rest
