If we didnt have EC, New York and Los Angeles would basically rule the entire union

2019-09-30 22:01:03 UTC

Yup, and it's why Canada rejected proportional representation

2019-09-30 22:01:47 UTC

Imagine having californians rule the country

2019-09-30 22:01:52 UTC

Gross

Bad enough having Vancouver influence so much of BC politics

>trying to shut down mills in lumber towns so they dont have to yeet wolves

Pencils can write on virtually any surface regardless of the direction of gravity, or the lack of gravity.

2019-09-30 22:06:00 UTC

They can also be used for smooth uniform shading in visual art, not merely used for crosshatching.

2019-09-30 22:06:27 UTC

I just wanna be able to erase stuff when I mess up

2019-09-30 22:06:59 UTC

Especially since Im left handed and smudging is inevitable

2019-09-30 22:07:57 UTC

You're so humble Leg

2019-09-30 22:09:24 UTC

A fellow lefty?

2019-09-30 22:09:28 UTC

Actually I agree with the crossing out part when it comes to information, but other times with art it is necessary to erase.

2019-09-30 22:09:31 UTC

The struggles of being left handed man

2019-09-30 22:09:39 UTC

Fucken binder books are the bane of my existence

2019-09-30 22:10:30 UTC

Pencils cannot dry up, nor do the have the potential to explode in-pocket.

Actually, I like art tools and writing instruments in general, but my obsession is with graphite, mechanical pencils in particular. I do some calligraphy, and some various dry media art and painting in digital paint and oils. I have a single calligraphy pen at the moment. I've lost all my others, but I also have some crow quill dip pens.

Rotring made a very neat "technical" fountain pen a while back which has since become a very expensive collector's item. Not so interested in that. I am interested in the Pilot Elite 95. I prefer EF and very fine lines for writing and for drawing.

2019-09-30 22:21:17 UTC

Hmm. I dunno. I like pencils for writing a lot. The tactile feedback and ability to correct mistakes is nice, as well as laying out guide rules and margins in a non-permanent way.

2019-09-30 22:21:45 UTC

Have either of you ever tried...

2019-09-30 22:21:45 UTC

The trouble being that it's much less permanent for archival needs than is inks, unless the workpiece is treated with fixative.

2019-09-30 22:21:50 UTC

word processing software?

2019-09-30 22:22:18 UTC

word processing software?? pbbpbtpbtpbt. Oog Bored with word processors.

2019-09-30 22:22:36 UTC

but it's so nice to be able to press backspace

2019-09-30 22:22:36 UTC

MAYBE an allowance for mechanical typewriters.

2019-09-30 22:23:17 UTC

You guys are like cavemen sticking to spears after the first bow was invented to hunt their mammoths

2019-09-30 22:23:25 UTC

Or something else suitably silly

2019-09-30 22:23:38 UTC

Perhaps we are. But mammoth meat is bountiful and delicious.

2019-09-30 22:23:51 UTC

I don't doubt the meat, I doubt the spears

2019-09-30 22:24:12 UTC

Ahhh, I prefer to erase my past errors

2019-09-30 22:24:16 UTC

bury them deep

2019-09-30 22:24:19 UTC

hahaha

2019-09-30 22:24:20 UTC

Never think of them again

2019-09-30 22:24:34 UTC
2019-09-30 22:24:37 UTC

Isn't that like renaming parks and removing monuments?

2019-09-30 22:24:41 UTC

I am but a man

2019-09-30 22:24:50 UTC

Implying those were mistakes

2019-09-30 22:25:04 UTC

jk but srs

2019-09-30 22:59:45 UTC

How long until someone shows up to represent typewriters?
