Isn't that like renaming parks and removing monuments?

2019-09-30 22:24:41 UTC

I am but a man

2019-09-30 22:24:50 UTC

Implying those were mistakes

2019-09-30 22:25:04 UTC

jk but srs

2019-09-30 22:59:45 UTC

How long until someone shows up to represent typewriters?

2019-09-30 23:24:30 UTC

They are mechanically interesting. The old school ones.

2019-09-30 23:26:55 UTC

Titanium pencil?!

2019-09-30 23:27:01 UTC

Elaborate please.

2019-09-30 23:28:53 UTC

@Legalize photos please too

2019-09-30 23:36:19 UTC

Kind of looks like the Tactile Turn.

2019-09-30 23:37:40 UTC

Gorgeous.

2019-09-30 23:38:25 UTC

I want one.

2019-09-30 23:38:41 UTC

I also want a Modern Fuel pencil

2019-09-30 23:39:10 UTC

Since pencils are more my thing I imagine getting a Modern Fuel beforoe the Tactile Turn.

2019-09-30 23:41:48 UTC

It isn't monolithic but it's built to look that way.

2019-09-30 23:42:52 UTC

Your choice of titanium, phosphorus bronze, tellurium copper, or stainless steel

2019-09-30 23:43:14 UTC

My choice will be Titanium because... well, titanium.

2019-09-30 23:44:12 UTC

I've heard of these.

2019-09-30 23:44:29 UTC

They honestly did not really seem like they were worth it.

2019-09-30 23:44:53 UTC

Ah, I used a staedtler pointer. Alvin makes one like it also.

2019-09-30 23:47:46 UTC

The Gist?

2019-09-30 23:48:23 UTC

Seems nice. I'd like to find one in the style of the porsche design titanium. I really like that sleek elegant look but I don't want to spend 1000 for a porsche fountain pen.

2019-09-30 23:50:04 UTC

I prefer tungsten, but it's nearly impossible to work with.

2019-09-30 23:50:40 UTC

Not just saying that maintain rivalry either 🤣

2019-09-30 23:50:47 UTC

I _love_ tungsten.

2019-09-30 23:53:13 UTC

Tungsten is _very_ heavy, and very hard. It's difficult to cut and turn with machine tools. It's even difficult to cast and melt (melting point 3422 °C)

2019-09-30 23:53:46 UTC

That's the primary reason in its cost. It isn't a rare substance, but it is very difficult to work.

2019-09-30 23:54:57 UTC

hmm

2019-09-30 23:55:09 UTC

I think I have a tungsten AR charging handle

2019-09-30 23:55:19 UTC

didn't realize it was that durable

2019-09-30 23:55:39 UTC

Well tungsten is fairly brittle because of its extreme hardness.

2019-09-30 23:56:19 UTC

When used as jewelry polishing it is virtually unnecessary because ordinary materials cannot scratch it.

2019-09-30 23:56:43 UTC

It is used as a substitute for U238 depleted uranium in armor piercing projectiles.

2019-09-30 23:56:51 UTC

nice

2019-09-30 23:57:34 UTC

The primary utility og tungsten carbide is tool tips,

2019-09-30 23:57:51 UTC

Yes.

2019-09-30 23:58:20 UTC

Some day I will own an awesome tungsten pencil. Even if I have to make it myself 🤓

2019-09-30 23:59:17 UTC

A charging handle made of tungsten is a strange choice.
