not a big metallica fan but they do good music

they're a mixed bag but Black album's a classic

Black Album is their best.

I like Death Magnetic too, I want to like St Anger the songs are top notch but the mixing/instruments are so fucked on that album

S&M is good too

They did that thing with the mixing where every instrument is equally loud, and peaks the same; sounds like they only had one mic in the middle of the room.
