@Archy buy multiple kindles and glue them together it'll only cost 80$ x4
to speed read it
I got a Kindle Paperwhite, it's rock solid!
Paper kindles are pretty decent but screen tearing happens at low power iirc.
@Deleted User speed readings pointless for IT documentation
1000 page pdfs (usualy jsut high-dpi scanned images) make avg computers slow as fuck
Would it be better to get a tablet
(depends on reader too probly
you could diykindle with raspbi and kindle screen ":D"
Let me go google
but that would require effort
If your reading on it, Kindles are the way to go. Looks like paper, and has a hella great batterylife.
@Austin how is glare on the paperwhite?
Are we talking in sunlight or?
how are the best kindles in sunlight?
^onyx
not kindle but best thing for sunlight
expensive as fuck tho
It's unnoticeable. Don't glare back, it's matte screens.
ima buy a kindle
generaly all E-inki screens are damn good to read on sunlight
Exactly.
Pick the Kindle Paperwhite.
It's great.
I got the impression the backlighting would screw with the e-ink. Don't really understand how it works.
Runs on E-Ink, so doesn't use battery unless you load a new page.
It doesn't.
Chinks deliver
well that ones much cheaper
rip aus
I can't talk about the DX model, I'd recommend the Paperwhite.
Just my 2 cents.
Do I buy one of the cheap kindles
Haven't used the paperwhite but I've used the DX. Only complaint is the same as I had with the original kindle: shit for backlighting.
and hack it to remove ads?
hack it to run rockbox :^)
