2019-10-24 10:46:51 UTC

FBI publishing hate-facts

2019-10-24 15:24:04 UTC

Just another proof of American institutional racism

2019-10-24 15:43:54 UTC

Goodmorning y’all, can you guys believe we still haven’t made the death penalty extend to pedophiles?

2019-10-24 16:14:37 UTC

I think that's to easy. They should be castrated and have a "P" seared into their face. Make them live with their shame.

2019-10-24 16:15:48 UTC

But the Christian in me agrees. Kill him and let God deal with him

2019-10-24 16:29:22 UTC

lol @Thots&Players how is the death penalty the Christian approach

2019-10-24 16:30:29 UTC

Ive gone back and forth on the death penalty issue like 6 times lol but if your basis for it is christianity, youre gonna run into a lil bump in the 10 commandments sonny

2019-10-24 16:30:47 UTC

What bump?

2019-10-24 16:31:31 UTC

Thou shalt not kill except for if they're being super fuckin child rapey or anything wild

2019-10-24 16:32:02 UTC

we should amend the tablets brought down from mount whatever

2019-10-24 16:34:03 UTC

In the Hebrew it is referring to murder. Why would God make a rule of not killing, and at the same time form a culture where the penalty was death for some sins

2019-10-24 16:34:52 UTC

Or turn around and tell Joshua to yeet basically every other tribe in the region

2019-10-24 16:35:52 UTC

Wait i thought Capital Sins were a concept in the Torah..?

2019-10-24 16:36:08 UTC

To be fair i dont really know what the fuck im talking about lol

2019-10-24 16:37:24 UTC

Death penalty is in Leviticus my dude

2019-10-24 16:37:54 UTC

interesting though that
>The three largest Christian denominations in the United States are split on the issue of capital punishment.
The Roman Catholic Church opposes it in virtually all cases;
the Southern Baptist Convention approves of it in certain cases;
the United Methodist Church opposes it in all cases.

2019-10-24 16:38:38 UTC

I need to learn more about my own damn religion lol

2019-10-24 16:40:14 UTC

To be fair, im only back on Christianity after like 6 years of being a materialist atheist for bout a year now

2019-10-24 16:41:18 UTC

Anyone have that experience, come from a Prodestant sect earlier in life, and have trouble deciding what denomination to choose on the reversal? lol

2019-10-24 16:42:35 UTC

Denominations are for the weak

2019-10-24 16:42:37 UTC

So much about Catholicism doesnt sit right with me, but it seems like the least "deviation based on convienience and social trends"

2019-10-24 16:43:01 UTC

Jk. But seriously why is denomination important?

2019-10-24 16:43:15 UTC

I would say they are.

2019-10-24 16:43:50 UTC

Protestants are much more "loose readings and its up to your interpretations of the text"

2019-10-24 16:44:11 UTC

I used to be a fairly devout Lutheran

2019-10-24 16:44:31 UTC

I would argue that they aren't. I grew up messianic, married a Baptist and go to a non denominational church

2019-10-24 16:45:01 UTC

yeah pretty much. But not like the catholic church is in any real state of originalist interpretation

2019-10-24 16:45:35 UTC

Just much more so than the others it seems lol

2019-10-24 16:46:48 UTC

yeah, Catholicism delegates intepretation of scripture to the papacy and their organizational hierarchical structures if i understand correctly

2019-10-24 16:50:14 UTC

Right, "Sola Scriptura" is the "By Scripture Alone" concept that the catholic church rejected

2019-10-24 16:51:37 UTC

The only thing i really know about the Catholic Church is from E Michael Jones, so definitely a biased source, but im interested in the history of it all

2019-10-24 16:52:04 UTC

Sounds good budday!

2019-10-24 16:53:34 UTC

@CCRed95 I am working right now so I am not to responseive. But if you would like to discuss more about the death penalty, or about denominations and coming back to faith, message me.

2019-10-24 16:54:16 UTC

wait @Legalize Jesus did appoint the first Pope right, that was his original concept? And what is the Prod/Lutheran rationalization for not recognizing the idea of a Pope, and also the concept of confession?

2019-10-24 16:55:28 UTC

and Thots sounds good. I definitely want to learn more about it all and particularly the history and the disagreements and the acts of subversion of the church teachings and stuff like that intrigues me

2019-10-24 16:58:49 UTC

@CCRed95 As Protestants we reject that anyone else besides Christ can be head of the church. We do not believe Peter was the first pope.
