And sometimes some doctrine just wont appeal to others just because of the relevance it has to them
@Legalize thanks. I didnt even know that was a branch of christianity lol
I was referring to personal relationship people have to their faith, at the end of the day it comes down to a personal relationship with God and Jesus. And certain doctrine will be more effective and relevant to one person than another
^
Yes it's about our relationship with Christ, but that relies on us listening to *his* word, not him listening to ours
I would make that same argument for the Catholic church, if the latin modernist become more popular your church will become part of the progressive Christian movement
Anyways ill have to end it here. I have class to get to
well 'progressive Christian movement' is a rather broad term, and as such I'd be careful applying it
many catholics say that all protestantism is "progressive Christianity"
a concept I completely disagree with
Protestants say the same about catholics as well
a dumb generalized statement
^
not holding the Mass in latin is not compromising doctrine
(I'm not catholic btw but Leg and I have talked alot about this stuff)
Like I said Ill have to continue this later
fair enough
but legalize please dont state Im strawmaning. I am being honest with what im saying, though like all people I can be wrong
@Neon_Flipflop I checked out that song from the 20s. Not much content in it. But spot on!
@pussydestroyer nontrinitarian views are more common than you would think. I have a much more nuisanced view of it than Arianism. But I would fall under nontrinitarian. From the evidence I have seen so far, it better aligns with biblical teaching.
I know there are a lot of nontrinitarian sects of christianity. I just havent heard of arianism before
Oh gotcha
Neither have I
F
