Tbh I cant be bothered to argue about stats on this. Everyone has stats that they like. I cant really buy into studies done on some place that has an LGBT equality section. Seems like they will choose whatever studies they like. @chaizu
Are their studies to the contrary though? It's not like they cherry picked one or two studies, this was a meta-analysis of 55 studies
@Castore don't try to lie and say you haven't done it
i havent and im not lying
@LustrousMandrill did you try to do it ?
Everyone with a dick has tried it at some point
That's my position on the matter
@Danacrag why don't you bring in in the idiots you listen to on the topic in here
@Danacrag "im going to ignore this metaanalysis because my prior unfounded belief disagrees with it"
@Deleted User you groomed me. No one else did
You were literally debating if you were a trans woman or not like 8 months ago
Or if you should transition. And your conclusion was no even though you want to, because it is against catholicism
@chaizu @Deleted User it's not a meta-analsysis
@Danacrag but this is
Ok fine systemic literature review
👀
I think you forgot to post it
@Danacrag in meta-analysis, sexual reassignment surgery (SRS) improves a large number of quality of life indicators (gender dysphoria, depression, suicidal ideation, quality of life, sexual) for 4 of 5 patients, including in 15-year-long followup studies: <https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1365-2265.2009.03625.x> <http://sci-hub.tw/10.1111/j.1365-2265.2009.03625.x> Pooling across studies shows that after sex reassignment, 80% of individuals with GID reported significant improvement in gender dysphoria (95% CI = 68–89%; 8 studies; I2 = 82%); 78% reported significant improvement in psychological symptoms (95% CI = 56–94%; 7 studies; I2 = 86%); 80% reported significant improvement in quality of life (95% CI = 72–88%; 16 studies; I2 = 78%); and 72% reported significant improvement in sexual function (95% CI = 60–81%; 15 studies; I2 = 78%).
@chaizu shut up whore I was busy collecting polls about impeachment, like a chad
@actual_communist_boi any stats on drug usage or suicide. I'd find them much more interesting that reported happiness
That study says it improves depression and suicidal ideation
So unless you think that suicide will stay the same even though thoughts of suicide decrease then idk why youd need a separate study for that as if my review wasn't enough
@Danacrag very few medical studies actually examine suicide, because it's rare so you need a very long timeframe and large sample size to measure it accurately
instead, they examine suicidal ideation, which is a great correlate of suicide
@Danacrag to give you an idea of how rare
Surely to work that out you need to study suicide <:Boomer:644902956130500608>
of 10 million with ideation, 45,000 did it
each year
That sounds like a horrible correlate then
????
@Danacrag each year there are just 2-3 million deaths in the USA, population 330 million
if your study was 1 year, with sample size 1000, and had that average death rate, only 10 would die
Can you show me that it correlates?
lmfao
This is a gem
