Your lack of trust in people says more about your ability to pick people to trust, and what your expectations of others are, than it does about whether or not people are trustworthy as a whole

My lack of trust absolutely does say so, but my trust was broken very very young and I seem to pick the wrong people 9/10 times mate.

So invest time in figuring out why that is and what your expectations of a trustworthy relationship would look like

And then make different choices

@Bodark Actual is right. We are here to build eachother up from tough times. In the end we are human and fallible. Whenever our trust is waning we must seek eachother wisdom to help pull us back into the light. (For me its god which has brought me the good people around me). Start building yourself up more friend. @Foxhound you'll find you have far more allies than you do enemies. Never get discouraged and never get demoralized as bodark said.

Derrasinated, atomized, and overall cynical people do not make good threats to people that want you and your way of life gone. Remember that. Everyman a king, every lifetime a treasure.

Demoralized, distrustful and cynical people also do not attract Optimistic, go getting, kick-ass, dependable people to your life either. If you want those kinds of friends, start trying to be that way.

Like, everyone at the VA rally was high on fuckin life, principled, focused, and willing to BE someone who mattered. Everyone knew who they were. It was outstanding to be around that and there's a reason those kinds of people draw those kinds of people to themselves.

Look y'all I was half joking. I'm aware of the people I draw to me, and I'm trying to work on that. For right now, it does me more good than harm to keep my circle as closed and tight as possible. And yes, I'm aware the comment was in poor taste, and yes, I was partially serious when I said it. I've learned the people I attract aren't always good, and in recent times have proved to be quite toxic. I'm working on that trait quite a bit. For now I'm focusing of stabilizing financially, and emotionally before I start trusting again.
