@s3bbe thats a really ugly knife

2017-04-29 20:13:54 UTC

but it reminds me of those ball bearing ZT replica/fakes

2017-04-29 20:15:05 UTC

thats just a ganzo isnt it

2017-04-29 20:15:34 UTC

not worth 18 bucks...unless you really want D2 over 440c

2017-04-29 20:17:29 UTC

Hinderer designed two knives for ZT

2017-04-29 20:17:31 UTC

but if you re after D2 you can go full ZT fake https://www.aliexpress.com/item/knoife/32744554074.html

2017-04-29 20:17:50 UTC

Which are pretty much just gimped versions of the original design which is extremely good to use

2017-04-29 20:38:28 UTC

half g2 half steel handle

2017-04-29 20:38:40 UTC

straight into the garbage it belongs

2017-04-29 20:40:53 UTC

What do you expect from a framelock

2017-04-29 20:41:06 UTC

full steel?

2017-04-29 20:41:11 UTC

a $7 can do it

2017-04-29 20:41:11 UTC

It's heavy as it is

2017-04-29 20:41:26 UTC

shoulda went with liners then

2017-04-29 20:41:28 UTC

He offers titanium scale instead of G10 on the real ones

2017-04-29 20:41:33 UTC

gross

2017-04-29 20:41:36 UTC

Liner lock is garbage

2017-04-29 21:19:38 UTC

liner lock is just fine, frame is probably better

2017-04-29 21:20:02 UTC

of course compression and axis locks are much more fun

2017-04-29 21:26:03 UTC

Liner lock is fine for very light tasks, but for that back lock (or better yet, spydercos modified back lock) is better, smaller and lighter but gets mucky and on lower end chink knives break easily and/or quickly in my experience

2017-04-29 21:26:22 UTC

what up knifeheads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5JK8okJJdM thats the knife you posted, right?

2017-04-29 21:27:46 UTC

also, in my opinion: back liner lock > frame lock > ordinary liner lock

2017-04-29 21:30:04 UTC

It seems to be an xm-18 and emerson cqc 7.

2017-04-29 21:30:21 UTC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqEa1vWeGBY does he have small hands or are those ganzo axis-lock knfies huge?

2017-04-29 21:31:35 UTC

@s3bbe yeah, I just remembered the first video, because I saw your link. I knew I saw the knife at some point before, so I searched frenetically

2017-04-29 21:32:09 UTC

I am now watching knife reviews since at least an hour

2017-04-29 21:32:15 UTC

I've had a chink emerson and while the liner was pretty thick I think I managed to bend it

2017-04-29 21:33:13 UTC

Also got dirty behind the liner and was so stiff it took effort to lock it for several months. It was the best liner lock knife I've handled.

2017-04-29 21:37:23 UTC

only good liner I encountered so far are the spyderco ones

2017-04-29 21:40:18 UTC

Haven't tried those, I'm sure someone somewhere has made an okay liner lock, but on average - specially low end chink ones, I am strongly for other options

2017-04-29 21:53:38 UTC

the byrd spyderco meadowlark 2 i bought my dad had a nice backlock

2017-04-29 22:02:44 UTC

compression lock

2017-04-29 22:07:54 UTC

really

2017-04-29 22:10:19 UTC

yes that is the name

2017-04-29 22:13:54 UTC

are there ganzo/sanrenmu compression ones?

2017-04-29 22:14:26 UTC

i doubt it

2017-04-29 22:41:38 UTC

make sure you have Torx bits if you get a ganzo axis lock

2017-04-29 22:41:45 UTC

its probably going to be too tight

2017-04-29 23:18:46 UTC

guys I'm enjoying disgusting coffee :WaveBOYE:
