not at all, in my experience. the amount of water left over is negligible
These teas aren't bitter in my experience
mhm oke
taiwanese oolongs dont really get bitter
even if you oversteep
Only greens are bitter, and japs love that shit
do try the jin xuan gongfu style at least once though
I tried both methods and gongfu was just amazing
lasted me like 7 steeps before losing flavour
you can just do it with another cup if you dont have equipment
also, /ck/ has a tea general
snort tea leaves for the most fufilling experience
is the amount of leaves and steep time the only difference between the two?
also water
but other than that, that's all there is to it
I see
well, got to get a scale
cant wait to try me first tea
ty fam
np
good tea against headaches
what pot do you use for gongfu, transience?
I'm just using my ceramic teapot until my gaiwan gets here
the cup thingys?
and a sieve while pouring because the spout is big enough for tea to fall out of it
gaiwans are the cups right?
gaiwans are the brewing thing
this I meant
yup, you're meant to steep in them and then pour from them http://drinks.seriouseats.com/images/2012/07/20120726-pouring-tea.jpg
there are "easy gaiwans" that do double as cup
anyone knows of chink tape that is removable without leaving traces? for wall application
Painters tape I supppose, that papery stuff
I don't know of any specific brand
double sided or general use
Even if you needed double sided what you can do is just roll it up and flatten it
