Did anybody here buy any of the Baofeng walkie talkies / ham radios?

I'm looking for something rugged witha big battery that can send and receive in the 40 to 60mhz range

well, i'm checking, but none of the radios they offer seem to be able to go that low in frequencies

they usually stop at like 120mhz

i have no idea what that is

the reason i'm saying rugged is because i'm gonna do some hardcore operating in the field

by which i mean actually throw yourself into teh dirt and crawl for days
