yeah that one. I've seen the same picture a couple of times now
hi chink shit gods
would anyone be knowledgable about cheap dac amp?
i would like to ugprade from shit ele d02 i got to something a bit better but under $60
@Kaytee is your man
henlo
this comunity is so helpful already
it shoots high for the money i admit
i'd just get an amp to go with it
i think i paid it 10 bucks
this version has amp already
d01 only dac, 02 dac and amp
it just looks like a generic Pcm2704 dac
i actually ordered one of those a while back
a bit curious what $10 can do
wouldnt mind having something clearer and with more power for down lows
i would turn system volume way down and use a standalone amp for the ele d02 since being powered off usb itll clip sooner than something powered off 9v wall wart or even a battery
that's gonna be your main problem with usb dac/amp combos and is solved by simply adding a separate amp stage
got it
esp. since it uses that nice TI dac is with the usb controller built in, it's actually very nice
@Asymptote hot deals and shitposting
Nice.
kayteekobold, i had topping nx3 i believe amp just to try it out, didnt hear anything better. dont know if dac id the weak sauce in all this then or not. one of my channels sometimes doesnt work on this thing anymore so another reason id like a slight upgrade
that way you have +-9v rails instead of +-4.5v rails, never ever clip at reasonable headphone volumes, will drive higher impedance headphones without clipping than the single battery one will as well
@Goa these days you have to go out of your way to get a dac that doesn't sound perfect
's all about having sufficient amp and a good headphone/speaker
thats an interesting stance on it. will think about that.
generally the amp won't make it sound better unless the amp on whatever source device has low output current keeping you from pushing enough power around or low voltage rails causing clipping
but especially at higher volumes you should hear a difference between the ele dac alone and with an amp after it
donot listen to the audiophools, keeping a clean signal all the way to the headphone/speaker doesn't cost a load of money unless you want to buy from western brands
@Kaytee so with this thing half working(sometimes i have to use line out for my headphones) is there something a bit cheaper than fx audio x6 i could try?

audiophoolery
also trust me, you will hear no improvement from 24/192 over 16/44.1
24 bit only increases the dynamic range from "if the quietest is clearly audible, the loudest will permanently deafen you also no music exists that uses the whole dynamic range" of 16 bit to "same but the files are bigger"
yeah i dont care really about such high sample rates or uncrompressed. I like more having capable hardware that makes me able to EQ properly for the music im listening to.
192 is only "now your pet bat can enjoy the ultrasonic edm you made it"
