that reminds me, an anon bought one of those a couple of threads ago
a laser engraver
i wonder if he's dead
the housefire meme isnt a meme with those
I'm sure the safety glasses provided work juts fine
laser engraver/cutters?
No, laser safety goggles
we didnt use them tbh
our machines did not work when open
they only worked when properly closed
so cant really speak about those
Oh right
but I always remember those russian videos where the operate on open machines without any safety precautions
Because the reflection of the laser is enough to blind you :^)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0ZhUxrvnVg quality entertainment
that would be a chink copy of the machines I sold
>trusting a chinky laser on your own flesh
>ruskie
can't say I'm particularly surprised anymore
They're superb devices all right, however they made 0 profit, in some cases, even a loss
Since their UI is supposed to make you mega rich
And LeEco is on massive debt RN and, if they don't get up going, will suffer a lot in little time
is the leeco company the one that is responsible for the whateveritscalled new electric manufacturer ala tesla scam?
same?
LeEco is the main investor in that new electric car manufacturer, yeah
So far LeEco has managed to survive
But at this rate they will crash and burn by the end of the year
@JHWH i've tried so many times to talk people out of those $200 chinese "laser cutter/engravers"
they never listen when i say "15W you arent gonna be cutting shit and not gonna be engraving very much, also that looks like something you'd see on hackaday made out of two cd drives"
or even worse the fkn
650mW ones
useless
and then i link them a lower-end actual laser cutter and they choke at the price tag
who'd have thunk high power lasers and precise optics systems cost thousands of dollars gee
remotely-okay 60w laser tube alone costs more than the glorified cat toy on a janky cartesian robot i keep having to talkpeople out of
Fucking gearchink said the 3d printer I ordered was worth $20 and now Canadian customs it holding it until I submit either a paypal receipt or credit card receipt and they specifically say the invoice is not accepted as proof. Should I just let this sit at customs and eventually get returned or risk getting hit by heavy import fees?
20 dollars kek
no one would have ever believed that
not sure what'd happen here, tbh the big problem is that usually chink sites have on their terms that any customs fees are to be paid by the buyer
