2017-09-04 20:26:11 UTC

2017-09-04 20:26:14 UTC

2017-09-04 20:26:43 UTC

2017-09-04 20:27:08 UTC

@Kaytee senpai, pls

2017-09-04 20:27:42 UTC

i have not tried the zs3 but i've had pretty good experience with other kz products

2017-09-04 20:27:45 UTC

for $10, go for it

2017-09-04 20:27:48 UTC

I would like to be able to turn down microphone volume on a knob as well.

2017-09-04 20:28:46 UTC

also

2017-09-04 20:29:06 UTC

the es3 has two drivers, a dynamic driver for lower frequencies and BA for higher ones

2017-09-04 20:29:12 UTC

zs3 is dd, ese is ba+dd and probably doesn't have the cancer fucking shape like the zs3

2017-09-04 20:29:16 UTC

zs3 seems to just be dynamic

2017-09-04 20:29:37 UTC

@Kaytee i do not understand the difference between the models. i see that some of them have differen connection to the cable, nothing more. what about bass and what not - does it differ significantly depending on the model?

2017-09-04 20:29:44 UTC

this does not always mean better or worse, depends on how good their crossover is and just how well engineered it is in general

2017-09-04 20:31:19 UTC

wtf does the double driver even mean

2017-09-04 20:31:39 UTC

@JHWH distinct pattern?

2017-09-04 20:31:50 UTC

generally a BA driver is gonna be better at mids and highs than a dynamic driver will, and dynamic drivers are better at bass, but again if they made a poor crossover or if the acoustics are wrong it can actually sound worse than just a singole driver

2017-09-04 20:32:05 UTC

@nerupi literally there's two speakers in it instead of one

2017-09-04 20:32:34 UTC

kinda like how you'd have a tweeter and a woofer on your bookshelf speakers instead of just one full range speaker

2017-09-04 20:36:05 UTC

@Deleted User how the f do I plug it into the computer? I don't have a soundcard. Can I just plug it from the Phantom power directly into the PC?

2017-09-04 20:38:01 UTC

@Austin like pc -> mic preamp -> mic?

2017-09-04 20:38:41 UTC

generally mic preamps with phantom power are xlr on both ends so you'll want either xlr or balanced trs mic input on your pc, which you probably don't have

2017-09-04 20:38:47 UTC

grab a cheap mic interface tbh

2017-09-04 20:38:58 UTC

I think I got it now. Absolute audio noob.

2017-09-04 20:39:14 UTC

The kit has XLR to 3.5mm, so that will do I guess?

2017-09-04 20:39:34 UTC

not neccesarily

2017-09-04 20:40:00 UTC

that'ss gonna be balanced trs, and unless you have a really nice motherboard i haven't heard of you don't have balanced mic input

2017-09-04 20:40:25 UTC

miiight work? could try and see before spending money on an interface?

2017-09-04 20:40:36 UTC

but probably you're gonna want a mic itnerface

2017-09-04 20:40:41 UTC

Here's the kit.

2017-09-04 20:40:50 UTC

Comfy sent it to me 15mins ago.

2017-09-04 20:51:41 UTC

@nerupi 10 bucks and it just came out

2017-09-04 20:51:51 UTC

That's a steal
