2017-09-14 21:18:14 UTC

It's a sample I was given at a tee shop

2017-09-14 21:18:34 UTC

I actually already drank it hehe

2017-09-14 21:19:01 UTC

How am I supposed to use this gaiwan by the way?

2017-09-14 21:19:03 UTC

how do you prepare it normally, if not using a gaiwan

2017-09-14 21:20:22 UTC

I guess I put it in a cup, pour hot water on it, wait a bit then filter the content into another cup with one of those metal grate things

2017-09-14 21:20:39 UTC

I'm not a big tea aficionado, but I'm interested in getting further into it

2017-09-14 21:20:57 UTC

1.) have pot with hot water
2.) have gaiwan with tea in it (more than yours though)
3.) have small cup
4.) hot water in gaiwan for 30 - 60s -> pour out in sink
5.) hot water in gaiwan for 30s -> pour in smalll cup and drink
6.) hot water in gaiwan for 40s -> pour in small cup and drink

2017-09-14 21:20:57 UTC

etc

2017-09-14 21:21:12 UTC

Oh

2017-09-14 21:21:34 UTC

the more often you steep the tea the longer it needs basically

2017-09-14 21:21:41 UTC

Well I still have the leaves

2017-09-14 21:22:12 UTC

was the tea roasted?

2017-09-14 21:22:14 UTC

looks quite dark

2017-09-14 21:22:30 UTC

just pour another if this one is finished

2017-09-14 21:23:22 UTC

a good amount of tea is, when it fills the gaiwan completely

2017-09-14 21:23:27 UTC

yours is maybe 2/3rds
