REEE
China is not fault
For some reason DHL is refusing
Sweden Post still seems to ship batteries. Even by air.
Just to bring up my loved and unobtainable m365 again, if I want to let it ship to Switzerland it can't be shipped (DHL only option, unshippable) but if I select Germany, DHL says shippable for 73 $
Fun fact: DHL planes from Hong Kong land in Germany and proceeds to Switzerland by truck
So I don't really understand this
@Jignx now image my horror when I ordered a BLF Q8 flashlight (for 46 dollars, luckily) and realized Banggood won't ship button top 18650's to me
now I have this bucket of sweat and nothing to use it for
@porco have you tried to find a german company that re-ships packages to switzerland?
I found one company on the border that just receives packages for you
and then I could pick it up
but it sucks because if I ship to Germany, I have to pay 19 % VAT + import taxes
while based Switzerland has an FTA with China so I would have to pay nothing
410 $ for the scooter
19 % VAT from China to Germany
8 % VAT from Germany to Switzerland
I bet the jews did this
the FTA?
pick someone who you deem responsible and hate on them
you'll feel better
you have to pay extra VAT from Germany to Switzerland?
yes if the value of what I'm bringing is more than 300 CHF
I would think Switzerland would have some agreements with european countries even though it's not in EU
yes, up to 300 CHF (260 €)
do you know anyone in germany who could send it to you as a """gift"""
gifts are not excluded from the VAT; doesn't work
my parents live in Germany, we tried that with some stuff from Amazon
Because Amazon refuses to ship to Switzerland in general
wait, even if the sender adress is personal (as in your parents name and address)?
yes
huh, I heard this works to avoid taxes from US to Czechia and vice versa
doesn't seem to work everywhere, then
you're fucked I'm sorry
only up to some certain amount
claim the scooter is 40 euro? <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
you're not going tax free on a 400 $ scooter only because someone says it's a gift
I tried that with some hardware from Germany
I bought a ThinkPad t470p from the Lenovo Germany shop, shipped it to my parents, then my parents said it was a used thinkpad from ebay for 50$ and sent it to me
then I had to pay 137 $ of import tax
which is okay because the same thinkpad would have been about 400 $ more in Switzerland
