octoprint i just upload a file and it slices and pritns right there, with web interface

and streaming video

so i can print and monitor pritns from phone and everything

I've been thinking of getting like, a thing to just run servers and services on

tbh an sbc isn't great for that unless you're wanting little dedicated boxes/clusters

i have a fistful of em running a few web servers, reverse proxy, and dns

and an irc bouncer

but if you wanna do anything serious just get a used r710 or dl380 off ebay tbh

like $300 and way way more capable, esp. if you just virtualise everything

they are actively bad for web servers if you have any significant amount of traffic

I'm using cheapo ($10) hp thin client box at home

has proper sata, gbit ethernet, x86 via nano with very low power draw

granted that ARM SBCs will shit on it when it comes to cpu performance, but still

it could suit your use case
