I ordered that kit since i have two options for grad school... aerospace engineering or controls, and i am undecided what i want to do with my life, so i decided play with arduinos if i like controls @Goz3rr if you are curious.

2017-11-20 22:22:46 UTC

i've got too much electronics components and dozens of microcontrollers

2017-11-20 22:22:57 UTC

bought because _i might need this in the future and wouldnt want to wait then_

2017-11-20 22:22:58 UTC

aerospace probably i am going with CFD and scientific computing

I think Stainless Steel is fairly safe.

2017-11-20 22:23:16 UTC

those ladles dont look stainless steel

2017-11-20 22:23:28 UTC

kek

2017-11-20 22:23:39 UTC

Oh, i thought you meant the stainless steel cup.

2017-11-20 22:23:43 UTC

also arduinos or texas instruments microcontrollers?

2017-11-20 22:25:33 UTC

some arduinos

2017-11-20 22:25:35 UTC

no TI shit

2017-11-20 22:26:21 UTC

i have a random assortment really

2017-11-20 22:26:31 UTC

few unos, the micros and pros which i cant keep apart

2017-11-20 22:26:41 UTC

a few kinds of bare ATtiny's and ATmega chips

2017-11-20 22:26:43 UTC

some STM32

2017-11-20 22:26:48 UTC

teensy

2017-11-20 22:27:46 UTC

hmmm i am new to this of arduinos. I did some arduino tinkering on measurement class but nothing serious like i want to do right now. I heard the TI are for "the real deal" and the arduinos good for prototyping

2017-11-20 22:27:50 UTC

is that true or a meme

2017-11-20 22:27:51 UTC

?

2017-11-20 22:29:11 UTC

arduinos have the advantage of the ecosystem and they come with a bootloader

2017-11-20 22:29:40 UTC

oh i have some ESP8266s and ESP32s too

2017-11-20 22:29:42 UTC

forgot about those

2017-11-20 22:30:04 UTC

but the 8bit atmega chips (in the arduinos) are quite slow compared to others

2017-11-20 22:30:13 UTC

the esp is quite fun

2017-11-20 22:30:25 UTC

can do alot more with network

2017-11-20 22:30:38 UTC

Meme, arduinos are just an atmega chip, you can program them without arduino IDE. But stm32 are more powerful for less money. Don't know much about TI

2017-11-20 22:30:53 UTC

people who attach arduinos to ESPs

2017-11-20 22:30:54 UTC

why.jpg

2017-11-20 22:31:10 UTC

5v

2017-11-20 22:31:12 UTC

i guess

2017-11-20 22:31:27 UTC

Also FPGAs are cool

2017-11-20 22:31:27 UTC

buy a billion logic level converts from ali from a fww cents

2017-11-20 22:31:32 UTC

i used FPGAs in school

2017-11-20 22:31:42 UTC

link?

2017-11-20 22:31:47 UTC

they seem so fucking pointless unless you have this very specific usecase and want it fast

2017-11-20 22:31:52 UTC

development time is complete and utter ass

2017-11-20 22:31:52 UTC

i am searching for arduinos pros in ali atm

2017-11-20 22:32:05 UTC

Arduino has a usable ADC and more IO than esp8266

2017-11-20 22:32:06 UTC

apparently those are for semi permanent controls*
