also please people dont get stainless rings

2017-12-18 07:26:36 UTC

if you do go for titanium instantly

2017-12-18 07:26:51 UTC

But meh, in the 4 days I've been wearing it, it hasn't made my finger rot off, and it's definitely solid

2017-12-18 07:26:57 UTC

What's wrong with SS rings?

2017-12-18 07:27:06 UTC

Heat blued titanium is 👌

2017-12-18 07:27:06 UTC

SS being, uh, Stainless Steel. Not nazi shit

2017-12-18 07:27:19 UTC

i dont even know where to start on SS

2017-12-18 07:28:07 UTC

but it warps/takes colors/gets scratched/gets matte surface if its polished Very easily/generaly is quite shitty option for ring material

2017-12-18 07:28:43 UTC

in crosses/necklace its okay due it does not get daily life beating

2017-12-18 07:29:04 UTC

also SS does rust quite easily

2017-12-18 07:29:26 UTC

specialy in rings when there is constant sweat(salt-water-etc mixture) on contact

2017-12-18 07:29:45 UTC

I'm hoping the black coating on mine will prevent that.

2017-12-18 07:29:53 UTC

nope

2017-12-18 07:30:03 UTC

It's basically a micrometer thick layer of paint

2017-12-18 07:30:26 UTC

^

2017-12-18 07:30:46 UTC

and micrometer is quite much on coated steels

2017-12-18 07:31:07 UTC

I'll give this one a month or two of daily use before deciding on getting another, then. But so far, I haven't experienced any scratches, and it feels solid as fuck. I can't bend/warp it with my bare hands, so I'm concerned as to what would have to happen to it to bend it while I'm wearing it

2017-12-18 07:31:14 UTC

I'd think a bent ring would be the least of my problems

2017-12-18 07:32:07 UTC

that ring bents way before your pain limit kicks in.. then you have nice finger what is black as the ring :3

2017-12-18 07:32:36 UTC

If it's as cheaply made as I'm being led to believe, cutting it off with my leatherman won't be especially difficult

2017-12-18 07:33:09 UTC

before it cuts your finger off

2017-12-18 07:33:11 UTC

hopefully

2017-12-18 07:33:17 UTC

Hopefully

2017-12-18 07:33:22 UTC

But

2017-12-18 07:33:37 UTC

im not saying that SS is instantly bad.. but at that pricepoint titanium from chinks is safer/smarter choice

2017-12-18 07:33:43 UTC

My original question hasn't been answered: What's the next big chink shopping holiday?

2017-12-18 07:33:59 UTC

Chink titanium isn't all that cheap though

2017-12-18 07:34:07 UTC

For the average consumer savvy enough to make something themselves

2017-12-18 07:35:02 UTC

Oh hey, it's the exact ring i have. but it says it's titanium now. For an 8th the price. <:thonk:288060975775612929>

2017-12-18 07:35:40 UTC

and yes metallurgy studies in ME start to get under my skin

2017-12-18 07:35:48 UTC

spotting wrong materials all around me these days

2017-12-18 07:38:04 UTC

when it comes to jewelvry my SO is worse tho

2017-12-18 07:40:15 UTC

I make it pretty clear; titanium or ≥18k gold
I'll end up paying for it though 🤔

2017-12-18 07:40:48 UTC

my gf bought her own ring. Some silicon piece of shit that claims to have gold "infused" into it

2017-12-18 07:40:51 UTC

for 40 bucks

2017-12-18 07:41:57 UTC

I'll take chinkshit any day. Jewelry has no inherent value anyway, just aesthetic

2017-12-18 07:42:58 UTC
2017-12-18 07:43:10 UTC

😂 👌

2017-12-18 07:45:31 UTC

>"Safe: Engineered with Anti Ring Avulsion Technology to break away and protect your finger"

aka it fucking breaks because it's a silicon ring

2017-12-18 07:45:35 UTC

thats probly most horrible looking rings i have seen
