Chinks
Unless you support their claim
So are you getting another one in nickel or painted pot metal?
"""silver""" or """gold"""
I'm not a metallurgist, so I wouldn't so far as to insist that it's the exact metal they say it is, lol
higher change to get shitty colorfilled aluminium
than actualy SAE 316L
also please people dont get stainless rings
if you do go for titanium instantly
But meh, in the 4 days I've been wearing it, it hasn't made my finger rot off, and it's definitely solid
What's wrong with SS rings?
Heat blued titanium is 👌
SS being, uh, Stainless Steel. Not nazi shit
i dont even know where to start on SS
but it warps/takes colors/gets scratched/gets matte surface if its polished Very easily/generaly is quite shitty option for ring material
in crosses/necklace its okay due it does not get daily life beating
also SS does rust quite easily
specialy in rings when there is constant sweat(salt-water-etc mixture) on contact
I'm hoping the black coating on mine will prevent that.
nope
^
and micrometer is quite much on coated steels
I'll give this one a month or two of daily use before deciding on getting another, then. But so far, I haven't experienced any scratches, and it feels solid as fuck. I can't bend/warp it with my bare hands, so I'm concerned as to what would have to happen to it to bend it while I'm wearing it
I'd think a bent ring would be the least of my problems
that ring bents way before your pain limit kicks in.. then you have nice finger what is black as the ring :3
If it's as cheaply made as I'm being led to believe, cutting it off with my leatherman won't be especially difficult
before it cuts your finger off
hopefully
Hopefully
But
im not saying that SS is instantly bad.. but at that pricepoint titanium from chinks is safer/smarter choice
My original question hasn't been answered: What's the next big chink shopping holiday?
Chink titanium isn't all that cheap though
For the average consumer savvy enough to make something themselves
Oh hey, it's the exact ring i have. but it says it's titanium now. For an 8th the price. <:thonk:288060975775612929>
and yes metallurgy studies in ME start to get under my skin
spotting wrong materials all around me these days
when it comes to jewelvry my SO is worse tho
I make it pretty clear; titanium or ≥18k gold
I'll end up paying for it though 🤔
