It's probably just the scent of the plastic then, I think

I've smelled a lot of plastic that has a weird sweet scent like dessert

or a strong scent, or a bad one etc

Also, China buys a lot of recycled plastic that gets reprocessed a few times. So who knows the composition of it by the time it's made into a new product and shipped back to us
