I don't own them I'm afraid, but this might help:

Got one for doing conference calls, and it performs better than it has any right to

I have a hunch they'll take Hakko T12 tips
Only problem is that it'll extent the tip to a pretty disgusting length
Buy a firearm with the money you've saved!
What could go wrong?
<:thonk:288060975775612929>
Yeah, pulled the trigger on the TS100 as well <:pepestressed:327933525124841482>
I'm curious to see how it stacks up
<:wholesomethonk:373550351082848267>
I'd be impressed if they spontaniously combust to be honest
The phone adapter might create a lot of switching noise which might need some hefty filtering to clean out
A voltage multiplier is fairly straightforward to make, and they're nice in that they don't create super high frequency noise
Quite impressive actually!
Might be a voltage doubler from the look of the diodes?
And TIP122 with the zener as a reference for a cheapo linreg maybe
Prolly was just cheap to make with through-hole parts
It trickles a bias into the balanced audio lines to power the mic electronics
Are there any chi-fi alternatives to them that give a similar sound?
Yeah, they were nice, but not something I'd be able to splurge on <:pepestressed:327933525124841482>
<:pepewot:327934404234313739>
Need to get one of those; that sounds quite handy
If I may ask, do you guys have any offhand IEM recommendations?
There's these neato chinese condenser capsules floating around on ebay at the moment
Meme screwdriver set arrived!
Quite impressed with it so far
Yup
You could probably find a reasonable drop-in AC adapter at a thrift store
And it'll be fairly easy to pick one up with UL or CSA approval to boot
Some of the older Pentax cameras are worth a peek if you're looking at used cameras
Their legacy lens support is extraordinary
Awesome!
It's the lens that has the biggest impact admittedly
<:pepestressed:327933525124841482>
A terrifying thought!
Ooo, that's pretty
Any recommendations for cheapo neutral IEMs that won't be a huge loss if misplaced?
TS100 arrived, and I've been playing with it
I'm absolutely in love with the thing
It's got a few flaws; it doesn't fit typical soldering iron stands well, the DC Jack in the back can be a little finnicky, and the body gets a little warm after extended use
Nevertheless, the circuit design and layout are so nice that I can't help but love it
No, I have not! @spaqin
Worth doing?
No worries!
Cheers!
On aside: price/performance wise, I suspect the $30 Hakko T12 compatible irons are a better buy
Especially since they will fit standard soldering iron stands
But the thing is so nifty that I can't help but feel it was worth every penny
Vocaloid trash?
More like vocaloid treasure!
