So I haven't put a lot of thought or research into this. Assuming I don't care at all about fitness trackers or anything like that, what benefit is there to a smart watch? I don't really care about answering calls or texts on a tiny screen. But the idea of a smartwatch still seems pretty nifty to me

2018-02-19 03:20:54 UTC

its a watch

2018-02-19 03:21:05 UTC

that's like asking why buy a $100 watch when you can get a $8 casio

2018-02-19 03:21:42 UTC

the casio will probably have more utility and last longer, but some people have autism and muh individuality

2018-02-19 03:22:12 UTC

You make a good point, my <respectable African American individual>

2018-02-19 03:22:30 UTC

youre trying too hard

2018-02-19 03:22:40 UTC

ya next time you better check your race realism

2018-02-19 03:23:18 UTC

Silly to walk around with a gps on my wrist anyway, but if there were benefit I could just do chink botnet over the Google botnet

2018-02-19 04:15:15 UTC

it's also the fitness tracking shit and notifications etc

2018-02-19 05:25:26 UTC

Android smartwatches seem like a meme

2018-02-19 05:27:29 UTC

As the wearable technology market evolves, it's becoming less and less of a meme

2018-02-19 05:29:15 UTC

As the devices become more capable, I mean. I'm still very interested in the amazfit bip or w/e. A month of battery life with a heart rate AND GPS, AND cheaper than a basic bitch Pebble Time? Shiiet.

2018-02-19 05:31:50 UTC

That sounds good

2018-02-19 05:34:55 UTC

I'm waiting for more reviews to see if it has long term build quality

2018-02-19 05:35:30 UTC

I not really see the point

2018-02-19 05:35:50 UTC

It won't work without a phone?

2018-02-19 05:37:07 UTC

I would rather just stick with a mi band 2, for notifications

2018-02-19 05:48:47 UTC

It's a good thing it's not mandatory to have one then

2018-02-19 05:55:13 UTC

I find it very comfy to have notifications, music control, driving directions ,etc on my wrist instead of having to pull my phone out of my pocket. If there's a device that can do all that without LOOKING like a full android phone strapped to my wrist <:aliOK:251417852156837888> <:aliOK:251417852156837888> <:aliOK:251417852156837888>

@拜占庭 personally I use my Pebble mostly as a Casio watch emulator. I love the wide selection of watchfaces and designs, the smart elements I don't really use as much.

2018-02-19 06:14:19 UTC

But the e-ink screen on the Pebble is a joy to look at, I'm not sure I'd get the same feeling from an LCD

2018-02-19 06:18:18 UTC

I have a Mi Band 2 but I don't use it as much.

2018-02-19 07:58:45 UTC

@dm the mouse you posted isn't really a hot deal, it has actually increased in price very recently

2018-02-19 09:08:05 UTC

huh

2018-02-19 09:08:28 UTC

what was the original price for the 3360 one

2018-02-19 09:09:43 UTC

because yeah there was a period where it was more expensive but it shows a normal ~22ish euro/28usd for me

2018-02-19 09:16:41 UTC

yeah there was a price spike but this is pretty much the original price +- few bucks

2018-02-19 10:05:19 UTC

How long will it take before the redmi note 5 pro see's a price drop?

2018-02-19 10:05:26 UTC

or we at least get some gearbest coupons

2018-02-19 10:05:32 UTC
