could you post again, maybe a correct link?
Get rid of the stuff after .html?
Yeah i did
🤷 Ill not fuckup again like taht
mfw .com 🤷
The benifits of being an american and getting 2 day shipping tho , atleast its better then when i ordered my headphones and they came via amazon prime
oh
oops
@Tervy I highly recommend just seting hotdeals to be view only then have a pinned message asking someone to ask a mod to add a #hotdeals userclass
🤷
would keep malicious links out
nah the link was on offtopic yesterday
i luckily regonized the url within seconds
Ahhh
(as it was botted to couple of other channels i moderate too
yeah i copied it from there twitter
but yeah i realised that it was probly just honest "i want to share this one" after i had made the pinned messages there
you know the moderators "aww fuck that could be something bad"
then investigate after the thing has been taken down
but yeah for future "Buffer/buff.ly" links they collect shit ton of data from browser/app what you use to open the links (from ip/geolocation to fingerprintting browser quite agressively and https://lambda.sx/XOl.png follow you later on with cookies etc)
bad behaviour all in all from said company
Thanks i didnt know that
well "analytics" is their marketing field so~ user gets the data
but good rule of thumb is that 99% of "new/havent heard of this one" Shortened urls == bad
url shorteners are generaly bad if they mask the real adress
thinks like amzn.to what obviously poit to their own service (amazon) are good ones (i think aliexpress does something similar with their links)
^good example of bad things
service is itself usefull but used for bad stuff
/csg/ link shortener when?
could be done
for example http://demo.polr.me/g (redirects to https://bestmotherfucking.website/)
that'd be neat.
but could really be anything under the earth
but from simple demoservice (They used to run it fulltime)
