all of the things have "precut" holes in them apparently
The fucking annoying part is that the foam is the expensive part.
Why is foam so expensive?
funnily enough its not even that expensive
It's just polyeurethane.
companies just like to jack up prices for "trademark tm foam" stuff
$35 I think for the foam for the Pelican. I needed to replace mine, it was cut out for some Fluke instrument
yeah its just "their foam"
@nitrokojote Printer ink model I suppose. It's the fancy pick-and-pluck precut stuff.
Sounds about right
Same deal with razors, actually.
Buy a razor, comes with two blades for $8
You're good, moment you need replacements
give me $30
Switch to safety razors.
Better shave and cheaper blades. I spend $25/100
"expensive" aint the right word
thing expensive with the foams is = storage
they take a lot of space
I wouldn't mind getting a strongbox to carry my laptop or other fragile electronics and shit if I was travelling
and space == costs a lot
Ahh
thats why "market foam" costs so much when its their "special magic unicorn powder edition"
even if its same stuff as everyone else
I'm curious what the production process is. I assume it's just extruded and stamped. Storage space isn't reeeally going to make it cost that much, because it's smaller and more expensive than the ottoman I got(the flesheating one from a couple threads back)
It's just Pelican=brandbucks.
pretty much
but i bet pelican does not make their own foam
soo they have some storages somewhere
ready cut pluck foams
(also apparently it was good search word for hardcases too
now i dont get that phone-case shit
Oh, nice
:DD apparently its cheaper to buy glass-bong + hardacase instead of just hardcase
goddamit germany
what the fuck
LUL
but yeah they are still around 70 euros here
