Enough goes wrong with cars without messing up the electronics. But I'm also really not a car guy. Decent radio we put in my mom's car was only around $90
Really shitty ones around here with just aux are about 250AUD its a rip off
plus installation prices
im running a 98 camry
Oh, yeah, go nuts. And install it yourself, they aren't hard.
Assuming there's not something weird about getting to them. It's just crimping like 20-50 wires.
If you do it right you get a wiring harness, you attach that to the bare leads on the radio, and it just gives you a plug specific for your car. If you do it wrong, you just attach it straight to the car, no nice plug to unplug for the next stereo.
Ah i see, yeah i know nothing about cars really
Anyway guys, which is better, ATE or ES3??
@bentech In a testament to their truly excellent UI design, I had no idea that was even an album in the first place.
lmao
yeah i hate instagram
I would piss in their face.
Under the premise that they wouldn't enjoy it.
what
@Issun https://images.crutchfieldonline.com/ImageHandler/scale/978/978/products/2010/26/669/x669PP500-o2.jpeg Basically you'll just look at the diagram, match the wires together, and end up with this mess that you plug in to your car. Or skip the plugs and go straight to car, depending on how the last guy did it. I just followed a YouTube vid to remove the dash and then blundered through with some butt crimps.
im still amazed this thing exists
nobody asked if we should

https://intl-outdoor.com/images/p1010519bmlqv.jpg I'm still real tempted to bake my M43 to get this look
damn
I tested it on a Sofirn SF36 to confirm, but black anodizing breaks down to brown with heat.
Maybe just get a heat gun?
I think if I do it I'll chuck it up in a lathe and hit it with a torch
Get it nice and even, find something with a wider flame, maybe one of those weed burner cane things.
a propane torch could work, always a risk with such a project
My problem is I don't know how hot it needs to be. I've got a heat gun.
for anodizing coating to burn?
Just to start to break down the dye, yeah
get some black anodized aluminum and trial & Error
Eh, that's more effort than I care to do. Worst case if the heat gun doesn't work, I'll step up to propane, then to Map-Pro
ok
just don't go overboard
The worst-case I'd realistically get is it gets too light
I'd say run the laythe slowly, get a nice even heat
Yeah, I'll drop it to 500RPM
good deal
I'll probably half-ass chucking it up, because I don't have anything good to keep from marring it, so I don't want it fucking off on me anyways.
