Get a MF04 or GT, great bike lights, amirite

2018-05-18 06:50:47 UTC

I have an S2+, and I love the body, but I can't speak to its performance. Mine is UV.

2018-05-18 06:51:41 UTC

They get a lot of love though. See if you can find the range(throw) for them and the A6.

2018-05-18 06:52:37 UTC

@timsandtoms best budget edc flashlight in your opinion?

2018-05-18 06:52:46 UTC

S2+

2018-05-18 06:53:19 UTC

But I don't own any that would count as budget.

2018-05-18 06:53:47 UTC

So, not speaking from experience, I just like the S2+ and it's real reasonable.

2018-05-18 06:54:09 UTC

OH! BLF 348. That's another good one, budget for the performance you get.

2018-05-18 06:54:54 UTC

My EDC rotation is Emisar D4Ti, Acebeam UC15, and Olight S Mini Ti

2018-05-18 06:56:26 UTC

I want to get a Lumintop Tool at some point, probably the Massdrop titanium one, but more just because I think it's pretty. They get a lot of love, but there are better performing lights I think.

2018-05-18 06:59:17 UTC

There are a ton of solid options if you just want 130 lumens from 1xAAA.

2018-05-18 06:59:56 UTC

Really depends on what you're willing to spend, what extra stuff you're willing to put up with, and how small you want it.

2018-05-18 07:02:39 UTC

@Millwood i have a convoy s2 plus that i broke before bike season :)

2018-05-18 07:02:53 UTC

2018-05-18 07:03:24 UTC

2018-05-18 07:05:14 UTC

Well I already have a nitecore tube

2018-05-18 07:06:33 UTC

If you have a solid one, depends on budget and goals

2018-05-18 07:07:57 UTC

Is there something specific you want a new one to do differently, and how much would you spend? Do you already have Eneloops, 10440s, 10180s, 14500s, 16340s, 18350s, or 18650s? How big is too big for an EDC?

2018-05-18 07:14:30 UTC

where do u buy those cheapo casio type watches?

2018-05-18 07:15:15 UTC

from casio via amazon

2018-05-18 07:15:21 UTC

don't buy the knockoffs

2018-05-18 07:15:24 UTC

Hmm, convoy s2 has better throw than s2+ according some redditor<:thenk:329322130804047872>

2018-05-18 07:15:31 UTC

@Moad eBay or Amazon

2018-05-18 07:15:55 UTC

oh

2018-05-18 07:16:16 UTC

they're cheap and good enough not to warrant buying the chink alternatives

2018-05-18 07:16:27 UTC

Oh, s2+ is 18350. Guess I'll just get the s2

2018-05-18 07:16:28 UTC

because those usually have shittier LCDs

2018-05-18 07:17:56 UTC

you mean 18650 <:thvnk:332928260004642827>

2018-05-18 07:18:08 UTC

S2+ comes in either. And 18500 I think. You're just looking at the 18350 listing.

2018-05-18 07:22:29 UTC

Oh

2018-05-18 07:22:57 UTC

@timsandtoms explain to a retard pls

2018-05-18 07:23:29 UTC

T is the brightness? So T6 would be the brightest one?

2018-05-18 07:25:44 UTC

Color temp

2018-05-18 07:26:19 UTC

LEDs get sorted into different bins based on what color they are and how they perform, the Emitting Color option is which bin you're picking. Couldn't tell you specifics, read the description or link me the listing. 7135 has to do with the circuity involved, and I haven't delved into driver design much yet. @Sapharanth mind explaining?

2018-05-18 07:26:38 UTC

I think more let's it run brighter but less efficient?

2018-05-18 07:32:12 UTC

Pottery

2018-05-18 07:48:36 UTC

Right on, so you're just picking color temperature. Ever bought lightbulbs?

2018-05-18 07:49:42 UTC

Lower is more yellow(warmer), higher is more blue(cooler). And cooler and warmer don't make sense because they get the numbers from if something was this temperature Kelvin, it would glow this color.

2018-05-18 07:50:18 UTC

But thas how it goes. Around 4000-5000 is usually considered neutral, higher is cool, lower is warm. Generally speaking.
