I want to get a Lumintop Tool at some point, probably the Massdrop titanium one, but more just because I think it's pretty. They get a lot of love, but there are better performing lights I think.
There are a ton of solid options if you just want 130 lumens from 1xAAA.
Really depends on what you're willing to spend, what extra stuff you're willing to put up with, and how small you want it.
@Millwood i have a convoy s2 plus that i broke before bike season :)
Get tir lenses from leddna
Get it with 6 x 7135
@Julian this is best budget edc :)
Well I already have a nitecore tube
If you have a solid one, depends on budget and goals
Is there something specific you want a new one to do differently, and how much would you spend? Do you already have Eneloops, 10440s, 10180s, 14500s, 16340s, 18350s, or 18650s? How big is too big for an EDC?
where do u buy those cheapo casio type watches?
from casio via amazon
don't buy the knockoffs
Hmm, convoy s2 has better throw than s2+ according some redditor<:thenk:329322130804047872>
oh
they're cheap and good enough not to warrant buying the chink alternatives
Oh, s2+ is 18350. Guess I'll just get the s2
because those usually have shittier LCDs
S2+ comes in either. And 18500 I think. You're just looking at the 18350 listing.
Oh
@timsandtoms explain to a retard pls
T is the brightness? So T6 would be the brightest one?
Color temp
LEDs get sorted into different bins based on what color they are and how they perform, the Emitting Color option is which bin you're picking. Couldn't tell you specifics, read the description or link me the listing. 7135 has to do with the circuity involved, and I haven't delved into driver design much yet. @Sapharanth mind explaining?
I think more let's it run brighter but less efficient?
Pottery
Right on, so you're just picking color temperature. Ever bought lightbulbs?
Lower is more yellow(warmer), higher is more blue(cooler). And cooler and warmer don't make sense because they get the numbers from if something was this temperature Kelvin, it would glow this color.
But thas how it goes. Around 4000-5000 is usually considered neutral, higher is cool, lower is warm. Generally speaking.
If you don't know or care, get 5000k, the T6-3B. Bluer SEEMS brighter. Although, arguably, blue makes it harder to see. But that's really only noticeable, and only barely, on crazy lights that are going multiple kilometers.
But 5000k will seem awesome and bright without seeming overly blue, most would agree.
fuck I wanna buy this thing but I forgot what website it was from
It was like
A microSD card holder in a keychain
And they had one in a swiss army style
Yeah, I guess I'll go for T5 or T6
They have a very barebones website that has asterisks
Found it
