a pulse oximeter

2018-05-18 20:05:44 UTC

it uses a flashing light and some sort of sensor to read the oxygen levels.

2018-05-18 20:05:55 UTC

not perfect but still it's "good enough" as a rough guideline.

2018-05-18 20:06:28 UTC

Will never work on a wrist

2018-05-18 20:06:38 UTC

You need something on both sides

2018-05-18 20:06:45 UTC

And as thin as a finger

2018-05-18 20:06:53 UTC

what the fuck gearbest just messaged me on facebook

2018-05-18 20:06:54 UTC

ok then

2018-05-18 20:07:58 UTC

this which is on amazon which is just a rebrand of various chinese versions says it works.

2018-05-18 20:09:19 UTC

Thats blood pressure, what the hell are you on about

2018-05-18 20:09:25 UTC

basically something like that, since apparently they can do it. No idea how it works but verified purchasers say it was on the money.

2018-05-18 20:10:02 UTC

reviewer with verified purchase states it does oxygen somehow.

2018-05-18 20:10:14 UTC

According to what metric?

2018-05-18 20:10:37 UTC

Also the link is broken

2018-05-18 20:10:42 UTC

some random reviewer on amazon. I just need something that's close enough as my grandpa hates wearing a blood pressure cuff.

2018-05-18 20:11:05 UTC

Do you mean oxegen or blood pressure

2018-05-18 20:11:15 UTC

Those are two completely different things

2018-05-18 20:11:43 UTC

both, his oxygen is gettinglower, he hates wearing the thing on his finger, and hates the cuff.

2018-05-18 20:12:15 UTC

Ideally it'd be both but if I have to have two seperate things so long as it has an alarm function for when oxygen gets too lower or BP gets too low I'll deal with separate items.

2018-05-18 20:13:12 UTC

do you want to trust chinkshit for this <:alithink:327930371796893698>

2018-05-18 20:14:11 UTC

do you know of anything that exists otherwise for less than several hundreds? It's mainly a fail safe. He still gets SO2/BP checked 3 times a day anyway.

2018-05-18 20:14:42 UTC

this is simply a failsafe backup device, a secondary tester/checker. someone's always up with him anyway.

2018-05-18 20:14:56 UTC

but incase someone's not in the room. i'd like that sort of assurances.

2018-05-18 20:15:45 UTC

why not get that amazon one you linked?

2018-05-18 20:17:12 UTC

has no open source app and the alarm is vibration, and he feels no such thing. his insulin pump vibrates at him when his reservoir gets low but he never feels it.

2018-05-18 20:17:27 UTC

if it's not easy to find on chink sites dont expect open source apps

2018-05-18 20:18:03 UTC

minimum for me is that it beeps at you for the alarm instead of vibration.

2018-05-18 20:18:13 UTC

since it can be heard/watched easier.

2018-05-18 20:18:19 UTC

i was about to ask do you really care that much about this shit

2018-05-18 20:18:27 UTC

i dont know any chink fitness tracker that beeps

2018-05-18 20:18:49 UTC

well i'll try to find something myself then. sorry for bothering everyone.

2018-05-18 20:19:10 UTC

its a rather specific set of requirements you have

2018-05-18 20:19:11 UTC

@randohealthguy ali has a bunch but what you might need is a dedicated health device, they are designed for working out, not to alert in case of health problems

2018-05-18 20:34:44 UTC

anyone ever ordered stainless steel staws off ali?

2018-05-18 20:34:58 UTC

thinking about getting one for my yeti

2018-05-18 20:36:01 UTC

They are kind of uncomfortable and make sure to buy a brush and clean them thry get super gross even if you risne them wirh soapy water

2018-05-18 20:38:40 UTC

I was super confused how you were planning to use a straw with a Blue Yeti

2018-05-18 20:38:49 UTC

Then I realized I'M the retard.
