good idea tbh I'm gonna shit in the middle of a parking spot so that I don't have to find a free spot every day

2018-05-23 19:45:02 UTC

It'll also keep dogs away

Guys is this the right place to ask for recommendations about an article and link it _

2018-05-23 21:22:59 UTC

wat

2018-05-23 22:15:54 UTC

balders is that you?

2018-05-23 22:36:15 UTC

@Millwood Krytox is top tier, but silicone is great too, unless the light has silicone o-rings

2018-05-23 22:36:48 UTC

99% of the time it won't, so just get silicone and risk having to replace an o-ring for a dollar or two.

2018-05-23 22:38:59 UTC

you've regretted buying that mf04 yet?

2018-05-23 22:39:57 UTC

I went with Krytox GPL-207, the thickest normal grease, but I'm going to keep an eye out for GPL-205 maybe, one of my lights o-rings are finicky and start to bind up, because of thicker grease and a tight fit. Q8 or M43, can't recall.

2018-05-23 22:40:52 UTC

@bentech Not yet, but I haven't got it yet. I'll probably put a couple sets of batteries through and then flip it if it's popular enough.

2018-05-23 22:40:58 UTC

haha

2018-05-23 22:43:07 UTC

Medium range is really the most I can even find space to use, much less what I need for regular life.

2018-05-23 23:00:49 UTC

lost my earbuds, need some new ones

2018-05-23 23:00:53 UTC

tbh i wouldn't know why i'd need anymore than a convoy c8

2018-05-23 23:08:41 UTC

You really dont, you're just upgrading to make things nicer past that.

2018-05-23 23:09:33 UTC

I have Harbor Freight screw driver bits, always worked great for me, but I've mostly upgraded to individual Wera drivers, they're just nicer to use, but they do the same thing.

Mystery diodes appeared today. I don't know if these are the fast or slow flash LEDs

Just put 5 volts across them they'll probably work.

2018-05-24 00:17:49 UTC

or blow up

>putting mains across a light emiting diode

2018-05-24 00:18:22 UTC

if it starts to smell like spicy egg omelette in your room order a new pair

2018-05-24 00:23:25 UTC

2-4.5V for the fast flash. I'll give it a whirl.

2018-05-24 00:23:43 UTC

I need to buy some 18650 sleds.

2018-05-24 00:41:18 UTC

Any suggestions on neat chink tools that would fit in an Altoids tin? I've got a super useful tiny kit at work, seeing if I can't get more utility in it.

2018-05-24 00:44:13 UTC

For electronics?

2018-05-24 00:44:31 UTC

Sorry, nah, I didn't really transition that well

2018-05-24 00:44:34 UTC

You could add a LED for testing if a small wire is live.
