it halves your iq

2018-05-31 13:04:21 UTC

usb type-c mass adoption when

2018-05-31 13:06:46 UTC

not before usb 312 comes out

2018-05-31 13:06:51 UTC

feels bad, man

2018-05-31 13:09:18 UTC

not before it becomes cheaper/same price as usb b

2018-05-31 13:10:00 UTC

and being problem child the usb-c has no good standing at that (VBUS =! VCONN fiasco)

2018-05-31 13:10:01 UTC

and stock runs out

2018-05-31 13:11:45 UTC

also it will be yet another adapter hell if the switch aint synchronized etc

2018-05-31 13:11:59 UTC

and the fact that there is nothing wrong on usb2.0 as far as charcing is concerned

2018-05-31 13:12:14 UTC

(its faster to move your data tru AC-wlan anyway than usb)

2018-05-31 13:12:39 UTC

tru

2018-05-31 13:13:48 UTC

can you guys speak human please

2018-05-31 13:14:10 UTC

dont buy a seperate cable because you are a lazy fuck

2018-05-31 13:14:15 UTC

>(its faster to move your data tru AC-wlan anyway than usb)

2018-05-31 13:14:19 UTC

huh, I didn't know about this

2018-05-31 13:14:39 UTC

I always had the impression physical connectors were faster

2018-05-31 13:14:43 UTC

Replace everything with USB-C

2018-05-31 13:14:49 UTC

question is .. when we get Sata3 sockets to phones

2018-05-31 13:14:49 UTC

USB-C graphics card ports

2018-05-31 13:14:53 UTC

that's not what I'm hoping for

2018-05-31 13:15:18 UTC

Your PC just has USB-C connectors on that back and thats it

2018-05-31 13:15:39 UTC

Everything, on both ends, is USB-C

2018-05-31 13:16:31 UTC

why

2018-05-31 13:17:24 UTC

Because

2018-05-31 13:17:40 UTC

Your monitor?

2018-05-31 13:17:44 UTC

Just a USB-C connection on the back

2018-05-31 13:18:48 UTC

imagine

2018-05-31 13:20:07 UTC

there's displayport for that already

2018-05-31 13:20:16 UTC

Yeah but displayport can go over USB-C

2018-05-31 13:20:26 UTC

So why have a separate cable?

2018-05-31 13:20:40 UTC

but why fix it if it aint borken

2018-05-31 13:20:58 UTC

Improvement and innovation

2018-05-31 13:21:13 UTC

If we never fixed what werent broke nothing would improve

2018-05-31 13:21:49 UTC

@Tervy can you elaborate (or provide a link) for the vbus vconn thing?

2018-05-31 13:22:21 UTC

hello spaqin how r u

2018-05-31 13:22:54 UTC

same

2018-05-31 13:23:09 UTC

i have a final this saturday:):)

2018-05-31 13:25:06 UTC

for comparison ( rarely met) maximun speeds (optimal scenarios)

usb 2.1 = 480 Mbit / s
usb 3.1 Generation 1 = 5 Gbit/s (very very dependant on the connector and the chip)
usb 3.2 gen 2x2 = 20 Gbit/s (but is not on any device yet far as i know)
sata 3 = 6 Gbit/s
sata 3.2 = 16 Gbit/s
AC-Wireless = 867 Mbit/s (low end devices)
AC-Wireless = 1.68 Gbit/s ( most devices currently (2 antenna AP 160mhz)
AC-Wireless = 6.77 Gbits/s (high end devices)
AY -Wireless = 178 Gbit/s (fucking unicorn magic what should be out 2019)

2018-05-31 13:25:38 UTC

>gen 2x2

2018-05-31 13:25:43 UTC

when can we expect this to hit the markets
