unless you work in a 1st-tier city
thailand is low pay for engrish teaching tho
apparently if you do it in china you might end up in weird university villages where the university is comfy and high tech but there's fucking nothing outside for miles
yup
apparently instead of how it's traditionally done here where a university is built in a city, they have literally chosen gigantic swaths of nothing land and built a university there, like SimCity or something
although yeah i bet you'd find likeminded folks
This describes most US uni towns
alot of people do 6 months teaching, 6 months travelling in like SE asia.
Hell there is so much nothing in Penn State they literally call the mini town State College
alot of the private english teaching gigs at schools where the parents pay big shekels
they have webcams where the families watch
and then complain
if you don't ask their kid enough questions
or pay enough attention to them
lol
"pls pester my child and have children i want them to go back to Usa pls"
i'd suppose it's very similar to state college
from what i've heard
but like
with even less surrounding it
huh lol
let's say I want that gig
But I don't know simplified
Then you can't teach right ?
apparently china has over 60 university cities like that
so uh
some of them probably suck dick
and are in the middle of fuck nowhere
>surround yourself with chinks and then have the option to fuck off into nature
Sounds like a plan
Lol
good way of thinking about it
maybe china traditionally liked meditation as a way to deal with living in farm city boonies
~~i say as if i don't meditate every day to deal with the same shit~~
turbo you don't have to know the language
it's an ESL teaching gig
some of these jobs have literal requirements of being just a grad
they only like whites tho
if you're black you're gonna have a bad time
